McCollum's one of the guys I absolutely don't want.

Undersized 2 guard thats damaged goods.

Gordon has no problem being 6'3" w/ shoes.

CJ is an elite shooter.

Bump

Chad Ford thinks CJ's stock will skyrocket during workouts.

Size wise, length and height, is comparable to Eric Gordon.

This guy has the skillset that fits in perfectly next to Lillard.

Before the foot injury he was shooting over 50% from three.

If he is the BPA at 10 then I say take him. Not worried about his broken foot since he is not a center. Not worried about his size either. We need scoring off the bench too. He can supply that.

McCollum has value, if he's healthy he's top 10 talent in my opinion.

Eric Gordon without the elite athleticism? No thank you.

That's not who he'd be.

McCollum has significantly better ball-handling ability and has more of an in-between game due to his much higher release point.

Essentially, C.J. has the skill and craftiness to get away with not having elite physical tools.

Let's not get carried away watching Golden State and think we can be like them by having two good backcourt shooters. For one thing, they have probably the two BEST shooters in the league, and for another Klay Thompson is big, and for a third, they have Bogut and Fezeli ready to block shots when you beat those two off the dribble. Having a backcourt of Lillard and McCollum would be more like the Rockets with Steve Francis and Cuttino Mobley. Only without the athleticism. At best it would be the Bucks with Jennings and Ellis.

So then don't start him. Bring him off the bench. But if he is the best player on the board when we pick, I would not pass on him unless the player we do pick is pretty damn good as well.

But we do need another elite scorer on this team. Is he one? I don't know much about him, but if he is he should be considered IMO.

Fair enough - you can't really go wrong with the #10. Unless he's Nolan Smith and Dieng is Kenneth Faried...

I wish Lillard or McCollum, preferably both, were elite defenders so we could bundle them in the backcourt. They both can flat out stroke it.

Did we start that name here at S2? I don't see anything else about it online.

I actually never knew how that nickname came about. Didn't ave the energy to ask.

Mediocre Man created it, and then posted it over and over and over and over and over...
