Not true. Blake set Oden up for more wide open dunks than anyone on the team. Miller usually looks to score for himself. How many assists did Miller have tonight?

Miller is averaging more assists than Blake this year while averaging less minutes.

Great win tonight, woo! Gutted out a win against a 6-12 without their best player. Nice!

This team is in trouble.

We won by 11 on the ROAD without FOUR of our MAIN PLAYERS or our coach. Oh and LMA & Roy played like All Stars. I'd say we're looking pretty good.

Oh really? I wonder where this came from then?

Oden said it was Miller who planted a seed in his mind to attack.

"He's a big breath of fresh air for me," Oden said. "When he comes into the game, he's like, 'G.O., we are going to run a play for you so you can try to get the other big man in foul trouble.' That definitely puts a big smile on my face. I turned my head and had a big smile."

Whats with your Miller bias? Blake shouldn't be anything more then a role player and he is getting massive minutes while Miller is playing the bench even though he has proven to be a a career starter even at this point in his career.

i would think if anyone here had a life eric would. doesn't seem like it :devilwink:

Eric, keep in mind that Portland has played the 3rd easiest schedule so far this year. Their record isn't that impressive.

I got yelled at for saying so when Oden went down. Roy plays better when Oden's not there. They'll learn to make it work eventually, I hope. But they need time to figure it out and with Oden constantly out with injuries, I don't know when they'll be able to do it.
They need a coach to figure it out instead of telling Roy he's tops on the 'pecking order' and then telling the players to figure it out themselves.

The stats show that Blake gets Oden more easy scores than Miller. Doesn't matter what Oden says.

Hey- I'll take it. Who predicted that we would be so many games ahead of the Spurs and Hornets despite FOUR MAJOR PLAYERS being sidelined?

Where are these "stats" you are talking about then?

They were posted here by PapaG. But I've seen it for myself and you can look up Play By Play for individual games. Blake created so many open dunks for Oden by penetrating and dishing but everyone in here turned a blind eye to it, determined to think that Blake sucks.

His whole career reinforces this thought. He does suck.

They aren't specific to Oden. Those stats don't exist.

I don't even want to know how bad Brandon Jennings is going to abuse Blake in a few days.

One could get them by culling play-by-play files. It's just a slice-n-dice of the info that's not easy to extract, so nobody bothers.

au contraire

Assists to Oden:

LMA: 6
Martell: 2
Blake: 13
Miller: 7
Roy: 13
Rudy: 6
Howard: 2
Bayless: 1

Now, if someone wants to figure out how many minutes he played with each, so we can get an assist per minute breakdown, that'd be great.

I paid more attention to the lack of people in the stands. I guess the Pacers are really bad. Then I saw this box score with the attendance.
Attendance: 11,487
You got to be kidding me. The attendance looked like 8500 via comcast sportsnet (channel 37).

Huh ...wah ... uhhh? Did you just say Blake was penetrating and dishing? Oh my fucking lord. Do actually watch these games? Blake is called "Soft Core" over at the RealGM boards for a reason (ie. there's no penetration). I'm not saying Blake is total garbage at passing around the horn and running an occasional side pick and pop, but this assertion that he drives and dishes is beyond funny. I feel like repping you just for the laugh factor.

He made at least one sweet drive and dish tonight. Joel was the beneficiary. :dunno:

I do. Apparently you don't. In that one game where Greg really flourished against Minnesota. Blake penetrated and dished FOUR times to set up Greg for wide open dunks. Go look up the stats. Blake has had the most inside assists of anyone on the team. By a mile. But people seem to close their eyes when he does all of this.

HAHAHAHAH! They don't exist?? Of COURSE they do. Go to each game on NBA.com and click on Play By Play. Then count all of the assists that Blake had for Oden. They're right there.

Man... look at those stats again. Miller= SEVEN. SEVEN! In like 20 games, he got Oden a basket SEVEN times! And yet everyone says that Blake doesn't get Oden the ball.
