It will be streamed on Blazers.com.

So I guess Neil is done for now?

No RFAs? Kinda disappointing.

Good to see him get off his thumbs long enough to hold a press conference.

I've said it before I will say it again... we absolutely should not be doing any signings just for the sake of signing people. Kanter is too much $$$ for the risk of attitude he brings, nor does he fit our new direction. KJ McDaniel is still an option, but there are some things that must fall into place with the Houston roster before a toxic offer might have a chance.

If Dallas is really trying to land Smith, we have a really good shot at prying KJ away.

It's just to introduce aminu and davis. Doubt he opens it up for questions.

Neil shows up alone, says "I've got a surprise for you," draws back curtain, on the wall is a giant poster that says, Introducing the new and improved Plan 3. Then Olshey spends the rest of the press conference scolding reporters for asking what Plan 3 is.

FTFY

This is the most likely answer. He might also spell out that we won't be signing anyone in a panic at an unreasonable price. We'll have plenty of time to trade in the season.

Guessing Dame will be there as well? I guess he will steal the show with his leadership quotes.

Neil does deserve some hate though. He came out of this with essentially nothing to show. Regardless of whether these moves were out of his control, he had a 50 win team, lost 4 starters in a week, and got two bench players in return. In a vacuum, that is nuts.

I didn't watch it, but in the post-draft press conference didn't Neil do a pretty good dressing down of Quick over asking questions about his "plan?"
Today should be fun :)

Looking back on it, no wonder Olshey only talked about contingencies. He knew he was blowing it up hah

In order to complete this explosion (implosion??) we need to get some more draft picks. We have only one first rounder next year if we hit the lotto. Pull a Danny Ainge and get as many picks as you can.

Replenishing our 2nd round picks would be a good start. At least we might find a diamond in the rough for cheap.

Neil shows up alone, says "I've got a surprise for you," draws back curtain on ALL OUR RETURNING STARTERS! "It was all a big prank!" says chortling Olshey.
Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Neil said he had several plans. He never said that any of them would pan out.

Isn't it the opposite? To land KJ we need Houston to keep Smith. If we even want KJ.

Not exactly. I could see them paying more to keep smith than they would have if Dallas wasn't in the hunt. Also, if Dallas acts quickly, then Dallas would force Houston to sign the Bird (early) Players before they give money to KJ.

I'll be watching

Neil Olshey: "Lamarcus...Lamarcus who?"

When Plan A (and all contingencies fail), do nothing.

Doing nothing is still doing something, right?

ok...it's 10...I'm on the homepage..so where's the stream?
