stotts is gonna make me cry talking about dame

Stotts: It's so obvious listening to Dame why we want him here. The way he has handled himself up to this point has been an evolving progression and he is more than capable of this next stage beyond the basketball.

Dame: No contract options...Committed to the team...not one foot in one foot out...Damn, Dame!

I think it's clear that we are in great hands with Neil and Dame.

Just unfortunate that LaMarsha didn't understand that. Ungrateful fuck. And Neil made it completely clear that the reason our team broke up was because of LaMarsha

Dame: I didn't ask for any options because I wasn't going to be one foot in, one foot out. We have a young team now that might not be great right now but I'm willing to deal with that. This is where I wanted to be.

It's not a burden, just more responsibility to have this type of contract. I have to perform but it's not a burden. No one pushes me any harder than I push myself. It's exciting to take on a bigger role and be the leader of a team. I'm going to attack things with confidence like I always have.
Thanks for the interview because I'm on the road and can't listen right now

LMA's biological clock was ticking.

Yep! Matthews and Lopez were packaged with the LA combo

Neil: Where you hear Dame speak, he says what is important to the team and the organization. I say traits in Dame I'd seen in other quality players. (listed them) There are players that are talented but then there are things you can't teach and that is what the organization makes a commitment to.

LMA gave it nine years and played pretty damn hard throughout his tenure, played through injury, endured more disappointment than is probably healthy and finally decided at 30 it was time to leave. That's it, that's all there is to this.

I don't think there is anything I couldn't say before. Maybe it wasn't as a leader before. Wes was the emotional leader. LA was quite but he would say something from time to time. I would go talk to people one-on-one. Now I'm more comfortable just spitting things out to the group. As far as the game, my role will probably be bigger.

"My mom still tells me to put my glass in the sink...." ROFL

Being more popular or going overseas for tours hasn't changed me because of who I am. I put the work in and that doesn't change. I stuck with it and still do those things now. A lot of my family is still here with me or visit often. They treat me the same which allows me to grow but not get too big of a head. My mom still tells me to put my glass int he sink when I'm done with it.

I don't see this as pressure. I have confidence in being the leader of a team. If people want to point the finger at me because we aren't playing well right away, I've had a lot more pressure than that in my life before. It is now my responsibility and I can deal with that and I'm ready to do so.

Was that media person browsing S2 on his laptop when the camera was going over Dame's family?

Giving credit to his Adidas agent, his adopted-like sister who helped raise him, his girlfriend and his mom. I remember my mom getting up for work at 4 o'clock in the morning. There is nothing I can do to every pay my mother back. I'm as excited for her as for myself. My uncle has been around the entire time. He would take me to school and always be there. My cousin Kenny is here who I cant give out his nickname. (laughter) It goes to show you how much you pick up from your family. My cousins were all great athletes but ran into something that kept them from going further.

Reset now to get Aminu and Davis to the podium.

Wow. I never knew that Lillard could speak so sentimentally.

Damian Lillard is a great role model..this guy doesn't flinch and has as much character as I've seen in an exceptional athlete. PR does not need to coach him..he's read enough fortune cookies

Aminu is very soft-spoken. Davis talks about playing hard every night. Tough to follow Neil and Dame.

Al Farouq came here to smoke the good weed

Aminu is real uncomfortable in the press conference, LOL.
