Notice Blazer press conference today at 10am

Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great, join today!

This long awaited press conference was as refreshing as a starving baby being breast feed by Angelina Jolie, Salma Hayek, Scarlett Johansson, & Jessica Alba.

I have read several scientific articles ascribing to the possibility of silicon based life forms... and this would certainly bolster their position of thought.

Dame's team is going to be tough as nails. Or shoe leather. Or something that is really tough.

Gotta like that!

Neil told Blake and Kaman before they opted in that their contracts would make them very lucrative pieces in a trade, and that they should both be prepared to move if needed.
I'm sure he especially told Blake that, hoping he would not opt in. And i don't mean that as a slam on Blake; but I think Olshey realized we needed an upgrade if Aldridge signed on again and someone younger if he didn't.

And i just want to second any and everyone who said this; Aldridge was a great player but i am glad to have new leadership.

Didn't Jolie have a double masectomy? Or was that the point?

I was not aware that Jolie had a double mastectomy. Nor was my point to make light or fun of that serious operation.

For my lack of knowledge on her personal life, I apologize to Jolie and to anyone that was offended by my comment, including all of the tabloids I never read.

Not offended...but it did kind of change the meaning of your post. :smiley-beerchug:

Like anything, reaction to Blazers new movement has been mixed bag. But I'd say the split has been 70% excited/ 30 percent sky is falling

Can someone do a poll on this? I need to test Quick's scientific analysis.

Interesting press conference, much more candid than I ever remember a GM being. He confirmed a lot of the rumors about LA's unhappiness here, and the rumors about who he was interested in. Phoenix vs SA etc...

He also confirmed speculation by a lot of posters that it would have been really politically incorrect at the time to trade LA while the Blazers were riding high.

I've said it before I will say it again... we absolutely should not be doing any signings just for the sake of signing people. Kanter is too much $$$ for the risk of attitude he brings, nor does he fit our new direction. KJ McDaniel is still an option, but there are some things that must fall into place with the Houston roster before a toxic offer might have a chance.
I don't think we are going to offer a contract to KJ. Seems like if that was our plan we'd already have put out the offer. And really, is KJ that much better of a prospect than Crabbe (who would cost 6x less). Crabbe is a decent defender and can shoot (unlike KJ)

I don't mind being a young team that's not so good, as long as we are fun to watch. No pressure.

BTW, did anybody ask him why the Lakers were able to get Hibbert for a 2nd round pick?

I know Hibbert has his flaws - but FREE is a very good price!

Hilarious he even used the names of the two options in the Kanter poll thread.

ETA: I see, SPD used his names. Well played.

Looks like Quick wasn't so far off. A bit pessimistic, but he's paid to make things look worse than they are.

We didn't have 2nd round picks to trade? :dunno:
Is that the same answer as to why we didn't pick up Ray Mc Callum from the Kings. Even though in the presser Olshey said we were looking for a backup PG? A guy that RC Buford of the Spurs said they were very lucky to get?
