In this thread, post trade ideas from other teams forums that involve us. Its interesting to come across trade ideas from other forums, and see what they have in mind for us. I'll find a few in the next couple days. I'll be posting trades below with my grade and breakdown of them as well as a quote from said forum:
_________________________
FORUM 1 - Wizards Forum:

POR Gets:
Marcin Gortat, Jason Smith
WAS Gets: Maurice Harkless, Meyers Leonard, 24th Pick

On Portland's end, it saves them on the luxury tax bill and I could definitely see Dallas throwing a 20 mil per year offer Nurkic's way so they have Gortat as a stop gap and it opens up more room for Zach Collins to get minutes

My Grade: D-

My Take: It saves us about $2M this year... So that's not big savings.. Saves us apx. $6M next year, but we could easily dump Harkless without taking anything back, which would save us $10M this year and next year. Gortat as a stopgap? If anything, if we let Nurkic go, we could find cheaper options for our MLE that are just as good, and we wouldn't have to give up the 24th pick or our starting SF going into next year.

FORUM 2 - Knicks forum:

Trade Idea One:
POR Gets:
Courtney Lee, Tim Hardaway Jr., 9th Pick
NYK Gets: C.J. McCollum
Portland would be dumb to do that.

I'd consider it for the knicks depending on who's there at 9. Mccollum will be 27 next season. Knicks are in the rebuild mode, which means they want guys in early 20s, so he doesn't fit the mold. I like him, and he'd be a great complement to KP, Frank, etc. but it doesn't make sense for NY.

I'm hoping mikal is there at 9. I like him.

My Grade: B

My Take: I disagree with the Knicks fan, I think it'd be a decent trade. McCollum for 9 has been tossed around. Courtney Lee gives us a 3-and-D wing, and Tim Hardaway could do a decent job replacing the scoring. Getting both those guys and a top 10 pick for McCollum is pretty good value.

Trade Idea Two (Submitted April 2nd)
POR Gets: NYK 1st (#9), Joakim Noah
NYK Gets: POR 1st (#24), Maurice Harkless
*(We would have to add a little bit of salary)

Knicks fans weren't to high on this idea.

My Grade: A

My Take: Doesn't make sense for the Knicks, they should hang onto their picks and let Noah expire (most of their fans agree with that) but it makes a ton of sense for us. Noah expires at the same time Turner & Leonard do. We could potentially move to the top 5 my packaging CJ and #10, or could offer that to San Antonio for Kawhi, or we could draft someone like Bridges. Lots of options.

Trade Idea Three (Submitted April 6th)
POR Gets: Tim Hardaway Jr, Emmanuel Mudiay, CHI 2nd (#38)
NYK Gets: Maurice Harkless, Al-Farouq Aminu, POR 1st (#24)

My Grade: C-

My Take: We get a much needed bench scorer, I don't like Hardaway starting at SF, he can't defend. Mudiay is pretty bad and he's lost on me. Not interested in him. We lose both of our starting forwards though, and give up a 1st to do so. Just doesn't appeal to me.

Dude. Wtf!

Here i just made an appreciation thread for you and now you start this great idea of a thread but no links to trade ideas already posted???

Man i thought you wouldhave half a dozen links to laughable trade scenarios from other teams’ fans.

Think im gonna have to go delete that other thread now...;)

Seriously. Great idea. Now go find them for me. I need some laughs. :)

We substitute Turner and they have a deal. Wishful thinking.
Yeah, I would mayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyybe consider something along the lines of Harkless and Leonard for Temple (if he opts in), Z-Bo, and 36. It would be the wrong move to give up Harkless without a suitable replacement but Temple isn't terrible and it clears $20 million off the books next summer. We could still use the TPE for a wing upgrade.

Dame/CJ/Z-bo/Aminu/Nurk isnt better?

Dame and a 1st for lonzo ball

Source: likely on some random laker forum

lonzo ball 2018 1st, 2019 2nd for CJ? Slide dame to the 2? They could probably toss Ingram onto Point, he has good handles and continues to improve.

I would consider that. What is Balls defense like? He has to be a great defender for me to buy in. That and a contract stipulation that his father is not allowed in Oregon.

No, CJ and our first and second for lonzo. Haven't you heard, lonzo is the best player in the league.

I thought digging up trade ideas involving us from other forums would be easier than this..

Pshhhhhhhhhh, maybe if they "threw in" Oubre.

It seems like Bucks fans want McCollum.

I'd love CJ at the Bucks. Would want some slight value kicked back though if we're giving up Bledsoe & Middleton.
Shoot... would you guys give up CJ and Aminu/Harkless for Bledsoe and Middleton? Interesting.
Not sure I see Blazers breaking up their backcourt but McCollum would be a great scoring option who would fit well with Giannis.
From this thread, I'm not going to post the trade idea that a Blazer fan posted in it. Milwaukee gets crushed on it (they give up Middleton AND Brogdon for McCollum in a 3-team deal that sends Paul George to Portland), and Buck fans shot it down. They should have some trade ideas for McCollum once their off-season starts.

POR Gets:
Asik, Portis, Felicio, NOP 1st (#22)
CHI Gets: C.J. McCollum

My Take: LOL. I'm not going to post trades that are this bad. This is an example of some stuff that's out there though haha.

Must have been someone who escaped from the local mental asylum. Of course, that fits most residents of LA.

A Bucks fan posted this on Brew Hoop https://www.brewhoop.com/2018/5/2/17311324/blazers-clips-bucks-trade

Basically in a 3 team trade the Blazers would....

Get Tobias Harris, Malcolm Brogdon, Tony Snell, and Boban Marjanovic

Give up CJ McCollum and Evan Turner

I wouldn't say this is completely terrible. We would get a couple of solid players in Harris and Brogdon while getting out of Turner's contract. It would save us around $7 million next year. Personally though I'd like at least a mid 1st round draft pick too in any CJ deals.

Lineup:
Dame/Baldwin?/Napier?
Brogdon/Snell/PC?
Harkless/Aminu/Layman?
Harris/Collins/Swanigan
Nurk/Davis?/Leonard/PapaG?/Boban

We'd still have the 24th pick too so we'd have to either trade that for a future pick or drop 3 guys from the list above. There would have to be other moves involved and it would be almost impossible to both re-sign Davis and keep PapaG so one if not both of those guys would have to go. Looking at that lineup though I'm not sure I like that too much.

As you said, more moves would need ot be made, but this isnt a bad start.

Get that 1st as well form CJ somehow.

Then trade Boban and our two picks to try to move up in the draft? or Leonard and Boban and one pick for a guy on a smaller contract.

If we could do the above and then turn my second move over, we free up a ton of cap space and then could sign players to fill in the voids.

Only concern is signing players to fill in the void. Will they sign here and how much more than their value will they need to do so?

I like Boban and our two first to move up in the draft. Hell toss in leonard too if possible.

Two chances of a deal like this, slim and none.
Olshey isn’t going to trade a player of CJs caliber who is signed for another 4 years(right?) for parts and to get rid of Evan turners contract which expires in two years anyway along with a. Bunch of other shit contracts.
You would HAVE to get Middleton back.

Sure. If that is the only trade, but if it is step one of a several step process, how do you know it doesn't end up netting someone better than middleton in the end?

Just saying, like HE said, that other moves would have to be made, so this would not be the end all or it would be a clear..."no thanks"
With that said, I could see this being a first step to trade for assets that are more tradeble than what we currently have. Plus to free up the books to sign players. It provides ALOT more flexibility which in turn provides ALOt more options for us to explore around the league in regards to the second and third steps.

From RealGM
it was suggested on the trade board by a non-Blazer fan:

CJ to Philly for Markele Fultz & Robert Covington. I'd do that trade, no hesitation, but I doubt Philly would

what do people think about that one?
