Trade aldridge to the cavs for wiggins. Matthews in a package for Monroe. Fap fap

What Batum brings to our team is not easy to replace. Gimme a break

sorry, I was mostly just thinking of position as a 3-D wing. Parsons isn't exactly the answer there, but there are a lot of wings in the league right now.

The interesting thing is there was nothing negative that was rumored to come out of that meeting. You would think if they were denied completely even with the 108 mil, it would have come out some how.

Yeah, there wasn't anything negative or positive. Just that they had met and the offer had been presented. But, what if both sides agreed not to reveal one way or the other because it would hurt his value and LA respects the organization enough to not be a problem on his way out the door?

My dream would be trade Meyers, Wright, Crabbe, future 1st round pick completely unprotected for Monroe. Throw in second first round pick if need be.

Rolo/Monroe/Freeland
LMA/TRob / Clavier
Batum/ MLE (Marvin Williams or Matrix?)/ BAE (Aminu)
Wes/ Barton/CJ
Dam/ Mo (non bird FA)/ Ridnour (vet min)

Follow a Spurs model of playing everyone less than 30mpg.

I don't see Detroit being that stupid

I think it's very possible that could be the case.

I'm wondering if we already have a trade in place for Aldridge, and we're trying to get Monroe to replace him.

After the best season the teams had in 15 years there is no way Paul Allen lets his GM trade away the best player.

So where's the local media at?

People tend to ask this a lot when something like this happens. A big national media member is far more likely to have a wide range of sources than a Freeman, Haynes, Quick is.

What if that player is going to leave and we won't get anything out of it?

Unless of course LA gave them doubts about re-signing

What if Aldridge basically said that he still wants to leave next summer? That would certainly inspire PA to let his GM trade away his best player.

I've always liked what I've seen from Monroe. But I haven't seen a ton of him. Can anyone tell me about his defense? Any good?

Also - what have we heard from Detroit on this? Why don't they want him - because of Drummond? I thought they were trying to deal Josh Smith....they want Monroe gone too?? The answer may help us determine if we really have the assets they're looking for.

His defense is terrible. Awful at best

I think I would try to move him. And if Cleveland is open to the idea of Wiggins and change for him. I would try to get something for him before losing him for nothing.

I've heard that the Atlanta Hawks are interested in Greg Monroe. It seems strange given their roster, but they're expected to show interest.

They were trying hard to move the pick before the draft. I'm just wondering if there's something afoot.

I told you guys there was something fishy about the timing of that leak. I think the Blazers leaked it because they wanted to be able to justify to the fans that they at least tried to re-sign him before dealing him.

But the timing was around the draft which is what made you think it was fishy. Blazers could have leaked this news right after they made the offer or right before a trade. What does the timing around the draft makes it suspicious that a Blazers are trying to justify a trade?

David Falk represents Greg Monroe. He represented Danny Ferry and they're still close. Execs pointed this out when discussing Monroe to ATL.

Doubt it. But maybe. I think it's possible it's a situation you brought up. But the Blazers are also looking to get better. He would improve the team.

Because if they had decided to trade Aldridge, that's when they would have started leaking information. Maybe they met with him and it took a week for them to decide exactly what to do. I'm just speculating man. I don't know the answers, obviously, but something is just really fishy to me.

Aldridge will be a Blazer 100%. Thinking otherwise is like trying to suck an elephant through a 1/8" straw
