Blazers after Greg Monroe

Yes and I'm a huge Aldridge homer

I think they have different values Mags.

LA has more value now to a team that's trying to win, and a team with LA/Kyrie Irving could easily be in the top 4 in the East.

Wiggins might have more value to a team that's rebuilding or looking to the future.

LA also has more value to a team looking to try to lure Lebron. Kyrie/LA is a more enticing pair than Kyrie/Wiggins to a guy who wants to win another title ASAP.

Wiggins and Lillard could be the best wing lineup ever in the nba. Wiggins has the potential to be another lbj. As much as I love Aldridge, Portland would be stupid not to do that deal; even if it sets us back a few years.

Cleveland would be fucking bone heads if they trade away Wiggins for anyone other than LBJ.

If LMA for wiggins was ever an option, I wouldn't even think twice about it

Yup. It sure seems that Miami is sticking together though.

So does Detroit giving out that crazy contract to Meeks and that other guy help or hurt us? I'm going to guess hurt on a sign and trade.

Help.

They obviously suck at evaluating talent.

Meeks for nearly $20m?!

If Orlando is wasting money on guys like Ben Gordon, maybe they're out of the Monroe sweepstakes?

Monroe forcing a sign and trade for himself . . . who says things like that? Either Josh Smith is hated by teammates or Monroe just alienated himself.

From Monroe:
These false reports are even more funnier when you're in the situation and u kno the truth.. I jus laugh

From the article:

Monroe’s camp was working on a deal with the Blazers shortly before the free agency moratorium began.Monroe’s agent David Falk was trying to get something in place before Portland met with free-agent center Spencer Hawes. The Blazers reportedly met with Hawes as soon as the period began Tuesday.

Interesting. So I wonder if it's still possible.

So this means we would be in trouble because it would be considered tampering would it?

the writer quoted van gundy to the extent that they were in control as monroe's market is limited and they can always match. NO probably done with RFA after splitter and hibbert

Without reading it anywhere, I got to believe this came down to Nico and part(s) for Monroe.

Detroit was playing Josh Smith out of position at SF (where apparently he was a disaster). Detroit would love to slide Smith to his natural PF position to play down low with Drumonds and having Batum play the SF position.

Unfortunately this scenario doesn't work out for the Blazers as the Blazers wouldn't have a quality SF, lose a glue and chemistry guy and either Lopez or Monroe would come off the bench.

I could see the Blazers trying to sell Wright being a potential SF starter and then throw in a Robinson and Cj or some package. But Detroit probably balked any idea like that as that is just a package of bench players.

Will one team cave as the summer goes on? Can we trade for a SF to trade or maybe get a 3rd team involved?

Smith, Monore and Drummonds really doesn't work well for Detroit . . .

Detroit would like to do a Monroe sign and trade for Lillard.

I think it's just very sloppy wording. "Monroe’s camp was working on a deal with the Blazers shortly before the free agency moratorium began." That just says they were working on a deal, not that they were working with the Blazers on a deal.

He's going to get close to the max.

He's a horrible fit next to LMA due to his defense.

LMA ....on the block?

Wow, intriguing. Of course we shouldn't discount the possibility that Marc Stein continues to be full of shit

STOMP

There will always be talk of Aldridge bolting until there is news he signed the extension. It's the way of Blazerfandom
