Blazers asking permission on David Morway

Certainly sounds like a better option than the Bucks' GM. I can't remember the last time Milwaukee has been anything other than mediocre to awful. Although I'm concerned by the Pacers' lackluster playoff performance vs. Boston.

He said no because he was intimidated by the long list of candidates. I don't blame him, I mean who could compete with the list the Blazers must have in front of them?

Either that or he saw Bert was in charge and said "Fuck no"

Or, he dared to ask if he could hire his own coach and initiate trades. Was told no, and said "Fuck no"

KP probably said, have fun with that.

No crap, I can't imagine anyone who's had a conversation with KP would be at all interested in this job.

OR, it could be that Morway HATES KP and so every bad thing KP said about the Blazers would encourage him to take the job. But I don't care for that idea. I can't imagine that I would enjoy having a GM that hates KP.

He didn't say no........ He said he's busy right now.

As everyone has pointed out, that's not a "no." And what else is he supposed to say? "Screw the team that currently employs me, I'm going for the BIG BUCKS!!!!"

Did Larry go to Indiana to talk about "life" like he did with Kerr in San Diego?

Why don't people post links with the info. It saves the time, because you know people are going to ask.

From what year? They just beat the Magic in five games. Maybe you're thinking of the Hawks.

Yes, I realized later, a big mea culpa. Indiana, Atlanta, what's the difference?

Obviously no one should post before caffeine. If that's not an excuse, will cracked ribs (really) do? I mean they hurt like bloody hell.:oldman:

Clearly he did not say no, just that he's not interviewing while trying to win playoffs. I'd like that selection. Indiana & Portland are both small market non-glamour cities without heavy night life or media attention. And Portland IMO is a more attractive destination, certainly has better winter weather. Between the Northwest & the Rust Belt, which is a nicer place to live? And while PA won't be throwing money about like a drunken sailor, I think he'll spend for the right people.

I heard Bert is the one meeting with him in Indy. Should be interesting to hear anything about that

Sounds like it's gonna heat up.

After a strong interview with Blazers brass, Indiana exec. David Morway will meet with owner Paul Allen Friday about GM job, sources tell Y!
