“I know we are in a pretty good hole to get into the playoffs," acting Trail Blazers general manager Chad Buchanan told the Oregonian. "But we are not throwing in the towel. We are trying to win games until we are eliminated."

I'm not going courtside. Instead, I found 5th row center for $150! Not bad. Team is 0-6 when I'm in the building. We're due for a win. We could pull to within two games of the playoffs tonight. Go Blazers!

Ugh. We're on National TV again. More embarrassment.

I haven't sat courtside at all the games

I'm teasing of course because I've seen mention of the 'Kingspeed Jinx' but I believe you are due and maybe tonight is the night! I would love to see the Blazers win this game, tankers be damned!

Actually, as far as the "tankers" are concerned, a win tonight would only be an ironic continuation of the jinx...

"We are trying to win games until we are eliminated."

Not "We are trying to win games and avoid being eliminated."

I am sorry to hear that.

Have a little self-respect.

Saying you are trying your hardest, and still failing is more embarassing than losing games because you shipped out two starters for picks in an obvious bid build for the future.

Just admit what is happening and go with it. Geesh.

I suppose Chad went out and bought a bunch of lottery tickets too - cause he "believes".

Do I want the team to sit LaMarcus the rest of the year if he is healthy? No.

Do I want them to give extra time to the young players to see what they can do? Yes.

Do I want them to experiement with different offenses and defenses whenever it makes sense? Yes.

Do I want them to make extra double, triple sure about any injured player before they let them on the court? Yes.

Do I care if that causes extra losses? Damn straight. That is the whole point. To lose extra games, improving the draft position, protecting the health of valued players, and learning some things about new plays, capabilities of players that can be confirmed all at the same time. Win Win.

Don't risk losing all that value in a lame attempt to squeak into the playoffs and be manhandled by the #1 seed.

Were not going to tank it, no, were not going to tank it! Were not going to tank it anymore!!!

"We are trying to win games until we are eliminated."

Not "We are trying to win games and avoid being eliminated."

Huh? It's true of every competitive team. The Thunder are trying to win until they are eliminated too.

0-7

Chad is full of shit.

#Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge will not play tonight because of a left sprained elbow.

So much for not tanking. HAHAHAHAHHA

Babbitt just made around 25 of 30 threes. They should put him in the 3 point contest. He drains them so easily.

Wow, 75 points! That's amazing... We have a superstar on our hands, at long last.

Wait a minute, the game hasn't started yet!

It'd get real ugly if we had to go with Joel/Smith on our front line.. not that it won't get ugly anyway. Griffin could go off big-time.

I wonder if Joel and Griifin will have any altercations tonight.

Fuck the clippers! I almost hate them as much as the lakers since they got Blake.

Thabeet might have to play tonight. No Aldridge to slide to center when Joel needs rest.

I'm at Staples. I'm talking about shootaround.

KingSpeed, what about Flynn? Can he shoot the jumper during shootaround? We haven't seen him shoot much in games, so I'm curious to know if he can hit an open jumpshot consistently.
