Brandon Roy:
0-3 FG
0-1 3PT
ZERO POINTS
Per-Game Salary: $165,000

The problem is, that Roy is calling all the shots. He's toughing it out there when he should be in street clothes. And he doesn't realize this, but he's hurting the team.

And our fucking coach is enabling him by saying that he has "earned" the right to make decisions rather than Nate or even that other incompetent POS we have on our staff: Jay Jensen.

Probably. But, its always a convenient excuse for every game he plays poorly.

Yeah, I hate it when that's used as the excuse for his poor play. If he's hurting, maybe he shouldn't be playing so many minutes and perhaps should go to the bench.

If Nate thinks Roy is the problem he will sit him down. Nate understands that his win loss record is more important to his employment than Brandon Roy being the face of the franchise. Players come and go way more often than head coaches.

I have a feeling that as long as he's under his current contract he'll always be a starter.

No he won't. He has essentially admitted that Roy calls the shots on his PT.

The only thing that is delaying his inevitable firing is Roy staying quiet right now, and him deflecting criticism on reasons other than coaching.

Not in the NBA.

Roy with 2 bricks to start the 2nd half. Ugh

Aldridge in foul trouble.

Nice hustle by Camby there to give us another posession

What happened to Dante's game? He is crap now.

Not in the NBA.

If it is a situation where a team has to choose between a player and a coach that is one thing. But that isn't this situation. I have not heard one even wild rumor that Portlands players are unhappy with their coaches.

What I was saying is that good players come and go, and in the reality of the coaches world, they always have to deal with the consequences when a good player declines, no matter how fast. Eventually when that decline is too much for a player to be in the lineup they get benched. The coach recognizes that their job is in jeopardy and benches the player, or they don't and they get fired anyhow. It works its way out, one way or another. If a coach has to choose between job security and benching Roy, they are going to protect themselves.

Matthews is keeping us close

Finally. Roy with the and-one

One point game. We can still win this!

Our D looks intensified. Have we woken up?

We have a 2 point lead. And Miller with the great charge-taking.

It's sad to see Roy so impotent on offense.

Is there a pill for that?

Love all you guys!!!!
