Sorry I'm doing this so early but I will be out of town over the week end

Blazers 99
Clippers 90

GO BLAZERS!!

This thread should be locked immediately...Im sure GranpaBlaze would agree if here. Predictions for two games in advance shouldnt be allowed. These predictions should obviously count but this thread should be locked until after the Lakers game. This screws with the sportsmanship of the game.

If you're making a joke: Hehehe... riiiiight!

If you're actually being serious: HAHAHAHAHAHA! Forget it. This is normal, and you know it. Sometimes people are afk for a while, and need to do this. Oh, and the clock stops on a foul.

Actually no it isnt...these threads are often stated very early which is fine but NEVER before the previous game is over. If RayDavies, myself, and a couple others posted in this thread it would sorta screw up the race to the finish line with only 4 (?) games left

Integrity of the game!

Ok, I sent a message to a mod but none are here right now so...

Please dont make predictions here until AFTER the conclusion of the POR/LAL game...I (and others) would very much appreciate it if you respected my request....thanks

Darizzle . . . you are way off on this one.

Frequently someone who is going away for a while will make a prediction thread 2 or 3 games ahead. It doesn't mean you have to predict early, only those who want to predict before the Laker games can get their picks in now. makes sense to me . . . especially a Sunday game where many of us are away from our computer.

DaRizzle is hoping for the same 8 on 5 treatment his L*kers get.

Well Im gonna have to disagree. I (along with you) have been paying very close attention to this little game and never recall a prediction thread beyond the next game. Ive seen them MANY days in advance but never 2 games ahead.

If somebody HONESTLY cant get to a comp from friday evening to sundays game then sure...post your prediction I guess...but other than that this shouldnt be allowed

My prediction for Blazers-Clippers: Z-Bo will have a member of the HOOP Family drive him to the game.

Well gramps can clear this up, but my drug infested recollection is that posters would put up threee predictions sometimes (three threads) before going on a business trip or vacation.

But I'm interested in your theory on how it messes with the integrity of the game. How does people predicting the Clippers game early create a disadvatage for you?

This isnt about me...its about sportsmanship. I know the OP wasnt trying to screw anyone over. It would just be weird and if you, Ray, myself, and a few others posted our predictions here early it could screw with our Lakers prediction

it's not like he's getting a unfair advantage or any advantage by posting if anything it's going against him to see how the blazers react from the win.

I'm confused as to how it affects the integrity of the game, other than it puts the early guesser at a disadvantage, which DaRizzle shouldn't care about.

Last year I was going on vacation and made a prediction thread for I think three games with no problems from anyone. If you want to wait until after the Laker game go ahead but if people want to predict the rest of the season I can't see what it would hurt.

Actually, no, I disagree. Predictions for future games are always welcome - especially in cases where people will be absent prior to the game. I've had people in the past post two weeks worth of predictions prior to heading on vacation.

No problemo.

Gramps...

This screws with the sportsmanship of the game.

I fail to see how this screws with the sportsmanship or integrity of the game. It may, perhaps, screw with someone's predictive methodology (is that "gaming" the system?) but I see no problem with such advance posts?

Heck, Maris61 could have posted the entire season's predictions starting with game 1 (every game is Blazers 99-98). Just to mess with you, I ought to have Maris start game predictions for the remaining games so he can get his final posts out-of-the-way. :devilwink:

Gramps...

Alright, my bad...Im obviously in the minority on this one. No problem, I apologize

I honestly had never recalled a situation like this this year but I guess Im mistaken.

I just thought having a slight tweak in how we have all been doing it now with only a few games to go would be a no-no...ill live
