The bubble is the only way.

Just got back from Home Depot, it was extremely crowded! No way they were counting bodies...
Thought there was a numbers restriction?

This is gonna be a very short season FAMS

It could be a very scary season. Providence medical facilities have canceled all elective and non-emergency surgeries and procedures in the Portland area.

If a player gets hurt badly enough to require surgery, see Nurk and Collins for example, there could be a delay in getting the necessary treatment and that could cause further damage.

Not a chance my orthopedic surgeon (friend) told me that when pro basketball players require surgery they get the 5 star treatment in all ways. He said one reason pro athletes dont take as long to recover from knee surgeries is that they are not flopped around on the table like regular people are. They handle them with kid gloves.
If Dame need knee surgery he'd get it just like they get tested and probably vaccines before anyone else.

I have a friend i went to High School with who is a doctor at Providence. He is a respiratory therapist and is right in the thick of this.
I talk to him every few days just to give him some encouragement. We are losing... We are losing this battle. They are swamped. They have no more people and no more hours to give. They are at the point now where they will have to start picking who is gonna live and who is gonna die.
Think about this? It isn't even close to being over. This is going to get worse. Bet on it.

I won't go anywhere like that on the weekends...the few times I've been in a store it's been first thing in the morning on an early week day...right after they clean the place...Mondays are good

There is no way this season actually finishes past Jan.

Thanks I was actually about to go today. I think I'll hold off now.

I think the NBA really screwed up with the schedule... they should've had more consecutive games against the same opponent, no back to backs against different opponents, less travel.

Maybe it gets so bad they just cancel and do regional bubbles or such...

Yeah i did also. I thought the bubble would fail.

yeah i have little hope for this season though regardless mostly due to below...

i agree. The scheduling and lack of minimizing logistics is going to be a giant obstacle course.

they could have alleviated many double flights. pressure to get the season going i presume....

I wonder who all got the positive tests?
Couple days ago they said 48 players tested positive in the league with training camp startup....they aren't going to mention names after what Gobert dealt with when this all started

That's why we got all of our injuries out of the way last year. Strategy.
