I never understood why you people dont like the Blazers Edge, but the more I follow them, the more I understand it... theres so many idiotic comments on their articles, but not just that, even some of those who write for that site are idiots

I mean, Nurk suffered an injury against UTA, and heres what editor of that site wrote:



now, I believe you all remember when Nurk "allegedly" left the Arena without speaking to the press, that was the one time they were bashing him and now they did it again, and of course, people are buying it cause they dont use their brain... Nurk has gained a reputation of someone who is not professional while he was in DEN, but thats not true and everyone could see that when DEN came to POR, how DEN players greeted him and while ago when Nurk came back to DEN for the first time as POR player, he spent some time with DEN coaching staff etc and said he only had problems with Mike Malone

Nurk was professional in DEN and he was nothing but professional in POR and bad reputation still follows him and it wont stop until people stop writing shit like that... when I came here I wrote hes immature, but not a headcase or anything

even so, even if he didnt spoke to the press, is that really a big deal, something to make a fuss, good god...

PS I forgot to say that of all places I go to (Portland Trail Blazers fb page, Blazers Edge, RealGM forum), this is by far the best place that gathers POR fans, cause I found this is the place where you can found the most realistic opinions about anything...

like I said, of all places I go to read what POR fans are saying, this is by far the best one

I think Nurk is very emotional. I also think that at times it is best for certain emotional type players to just stay away from the press.
That being said i also think that Nurk needs to channel that emotion. "Grow up" if you will. He worked very hard this last summer to refine his body and playing style. Honestly now, how many people can actually go through that type of transformation in that short of time without putting in huge amounts of work. It shows he has tremendous work ethic. This summer and each year afterward i am pretty sure Nurk will continue with that type of hard work to continue to improve his game. This is only the very beginning of a good career.

This has nothing to do with blazers edge. Nurk was a HUGE baby in Denver that’s why they shipped him out in the first place. What are you even talking about right now?!

They basically said he could dominate when he wanted to, but that he was mentally soft. They played an interesting clip of Evan Turner being interviewed after the game and someone asked him what he thought about Nurk's "injury" and Turner just kinda laughed and said "I don't know man...."

So they're saying that his teammates think he quit on them as well. Not sure how true that is.

This certainly wouldn't be the first gifted player we've had who was naturally talented, but didn't really put in the work to be great. Sheed and Darius Miles come to mind.
