When I wear a San Francisco Ballet T shirt someone always asks me if I am (or was, since I'm clearly over age) dancer. But when I wear an Oakland A's T shirt no one asks me if I was a baseball player.

Dancers wear t-shirts? Where are the good old days when they wore leotards and calf warmers?

Dancers wear T shirts during warmups. The T shirts sold, however, are like baseball T shirts, which players don't wear. Souvenirs/fund raising.

When I wear my Rolling Stones T shirt, no one asks me if I'm Keith Richards (or even if I'm a musician).

On return from my honeymoon, in my early 20s, the cabbie said I looked familiar and asked me if I played for the Chicago Bears. I was young and athletic looking, but in hindsight, I think he just wanted a larger tip.

If I was a waiter and serving you, I'd ask if you were a dancer who used to play baseball and would like some desert and another glass of wine.

I am a great dancer. I could be on Dancing With the Stars if they let me.
