Except we don't know if he was dismissed or just left.
I do know that he worked for his old boss at a MLS team. When his boss left to work for the Blazers he left his job to join him here. Now his boss left to work for an NHL team. It wouldn't surprise me if Cody ends up at the same NHL team.
Yeah, this new person they hired sucks:

That's quite the elaborate theory you've cooked up there SlyKookieDogWhile I don't know why Cody is no longer working for the Blazers I do know it was not for being too negative or edgy on twitter.
This is the VP who overseas the Blazers social media department. He got his job here by pushing the limits on social media.

I do know that the head of the social media department just left to work for a NHL team where he grew up and where his family lives. Kris Koivisto, who some of you have met, also left a few months back to get an amazing job in San Diego, does social for the Grammy's and Fox Movies. The Blazers have won the best social media department in all of sports multiple years in a row. There are major opportunities available to the employees in that department. Cody could have left to explore those.
Also don't judge the new guy based on just one tweet. Pick your favorite comedian and you can find jokes they've told that have just bombed. When you're tweeting 50 times a night during a game you are going to have a few clunkers.
From the looks of it, the tweet at ESPN wasn't all that great representing the team.
I wonder if the dismissal is related to this: http://www.sportstwo.com/threads/who-is-serena-winters.326055/
Serena was interviewing dudes in the locker room yesterday.
In fairness I can't criticize Sly. He has to follow the company line if he wants any inside information regarding the Blazers. It is what it is.

The Nets already released Okur. In 2012.
Like Blake Griffin, he found out on Twitter. So, he was blindsided by his own resignation? He really should have kept himself in the loop.
BNM

That's...not real.That's.....not good.

LOL!
I stand by my original comment.
Without going into details or how I know, Cody was not fired because of tweets.
Sure thing, company man!
Yeah, because they're so concerned over a piss-ant website.

I knew it. He overstepped his bounds, branching into merchandising. His idea for the new "City" jersey:Without going into details or how I know, Cody was not fired because of tweets.
