If Cronin does the unthinkable (the right thing) and drafts boom or bust Sharpe at 7 or moving up, I’ll never say a bad word about Joe
Well we know this isn't true.
I can say Cal recruited him and every other guard he has recruited in the past 6-7 years that went in the first round is a stud.
They are trying to convince Sac, Det, Indy to take him so Murray may drop to 7.How can you promise to draft someone when he could be taken before it’s your turn?

Definitely a possibility. They are trying to convince Sac, Det, Indy to take him so Murray may drop to 7.
All it would take is a couple shakeups in the order 1-4 and Murray could drop to 7 and I think thats who Portland would draft if he's there.Logic makes no sense.
I hope this is true. Both in keeping the pick and taking Sharpe.Windhorst today on NBA Today.
“For weeks, we’ve heard about the Portland Trail Blazers at No. 7 possibly trading that pick off, maybe for Jerami Grant of the Detroit Pistons. From what I understand, Portland has decided not to go down that path and as of right now is planning to draft at No. 7,” Windhorst explained.
“Jonathan Givony has them taking Shaedon Sharpe out of Kentucky, and I have heard the same thing, that that is who they are targeting,” he continued. “That is something I would not have expected two to three weeks ago.”
Big time same for me.I hope this is true. Both in keeping the pick and taking Sharpe.

Oh for sure it's a smokescreen. But I also think it's one that is partially true. If Sharpe is there we'd take him. But there's probably someone like Dyson who we value higher and is trying to get a team like Indiana to bite on Sharpe so that Dyson falls to us.I'm calling smoke screen on this one...

It's fun speculating though... way more exciting than most drafts!
I think the cats out of the bag with Sharpe. He’s worked out 6-7 teams. I’m thinking if we want him we’ll have to trade up. I doubt he’ll fall to 7.
If Cronin does what the board is expecting and drafts Sharpe and then trades him for OG, I'll have the sad about my rooting interest again. OG is a starting talent, but they are not in a reload situation and would still be several big adds away from being legit.
STOMP
I’m not sure any of this is realistic, but that’s a solid start to next seasonTake Sharpe at 7.
Trade for Thybulle and 23.
Trade 23 and change for Jerami Grant.
If someone takes him top 6, that means we have a good shot at getting Murray. I guess Indy might screw it up for us.
100%My guess is we draft Sharpe, trade him and then regret it a lot within 2 years.
Ideally to get the player to stop other workouts. Didn't really happen completely with Sharpe. What is the point of making a "draft promise"
