He owed me $100 too but I bet that $100 10 to 1 that we'd win 48 games and I lost. So he owes me nothing. I kept our agreement. HCP hasn't. And YES I'm giving up something if I lose the bet. With Plumlee's new-found point-center role, Harkless' definite emergence as our starting SF going forward, Aminu's versatility at the 3-4 spots, and all our cap space--HELL YES I'm excited about next season!! We got where we got this year with this team having to use most of the year to figure out how to play together; how much better can we be next year carrying all that we learned this year into and through the off-season. Just imagine if Vonleh figures out that 15-footer! Or Harkless gets his 3P% up over 35! Or Meyers grows a pair! Or Crabbe improves his handle just a little bit! None of those are out of the realm of possibility.

I'm loving and enjoying the hell out of these playoffs, but oh yes, I'm stoked for next season.

My bold prediction is that this is coming next year. I've said before that I've seen a nice mid-range jumpshot from him during warm-ups. I think it becomes a part of his offensive game next season.

Hell, there will be fans who won't want to give up on the potential of Pat and Montero, especially considering the improvement we've seen from Harkless and Crabbe. And the promise of Vonleh. Somethings gotta give. I suspect Henderson and Kaman won't be back so that's at least two open slots. If we can fill them with another impact player without giving up anyone, that would be sweet. Crabbe will probably go, which I'm okay with. I like him, but he may command too much. I wouldn't mind Hendo coming back for one more year, Kaman is gone... Vonleh we will need to see for a couple more years to see what we got. Harkless stays... I've loved him since Pre-season and man... he just needed to be a starter... guy is ballin'!

There certainly are A LOT of players I hope we bring back next season. Some because they're starting to develop, some because they're already awesome, and some because - even though they haven't shown anything - they are cheap so there's no value in getting rid of them. These are the guys I really hope we keep:

Meyers (I know, this is the contentious one)

Montero

Most everyone else I'm fine keeping, but also fine trading or letting walk if we can find a better replacement.

*Depending on what happens with the front court I can see selling high on Plumlee. For instance, if we could get Boogie for Plumlee and Aminu - DO IT. Basically I think we need a new starting PF or C. Vonleh would be fine if we got Boogie. Plumlee would be great if we got Ibaka/Millsap. But we can't start Aminu/Vonleh/Plumlee again...even Harkless/Vonleh/Plumlee or Harkless/Aminu/Plumlee needs to be something that ends this season.
