Blazers have no chance to win this series; are you excited for next season?

There certainly are A LOT of players I hope we bring back next season. Some because they're starting to develop, some because they're already awesome, and some because - even though they haven't shown anything - they are cheap so there's no value in getting rid of them. These are the guys I really hope we keep:

Awesome Keepers
Dame
CJ
Plumlee*

Developing w/ Promise
Harkless
Meyers (I know, this is the contentious one)

Cheap
Pat
Montero

Most everyone else I'm fine keeping, but also fine trading or letting walk if we can find a better replacement.

*Depending on what happens with the front court I can see selling high on Plumlee. For instance, if we could get Boogie for Plumlee and Aminu - DO IT. Basically I think we need a new starting PF or C. Vonleh would be fine if we got Boogie. Plumlee would be great if we got Ibaka/Millsap. But we can't start Aminu/Vonleh/Plumlee again...even Harkless/Vonleh/Plumlee or Harkless/Aminu/Plumlee needs to be something that ends this season.
I'd move Harkless up your list, personally. And I'd add Alexander to the "cheap" list.

Yeah, I thought of both of those. The reasoning for the way it is is that Harkless hasn't been a starter long enough to lump in with Dame/CJ/Plumlee, and I don't actually recall seeing Alexander play, whereas I recall moments where both Montero and Pat impressed me. But I otherwise agree with your statement.

I can see the push for Harkless in that spot given that when he did start, it was critical games for the playoff push. At one point, it seemed like he was scoring 10+ points every 1st quarter.

But, I can also see waiting a little bit longer, as well.

The nice thing about this thread is that it shows how grim things once looked in this series. I was right there with Draco in my confidence that the Blazers would advance. I was just hoping to not get swept.

Draco was right calling me dilusional when I said I think Hark can be our version of Draymond Green. I take it back
I was wrong. Its Plums. And this is a legit opinion now. If he can just find a reliable 12ft jumper, he will be our draymond green. Point Center.

I love Plum, but you are still selling Green short. What makes him unique is not just his ability to run the offense from the forward position and score all over the court (fast break, post, jumpers and 3s) - but also his ability to guard basically 4 or 5 positions.

It is great that Plum has an unusual skill - being able to run the offense as a secondary distributor - but Green is unique because he is does so many things on both sides of the floor. He really is an all-NBA special player.

Again, Love the Plumdog. He is the best Dog this forum has seen (Right Sly?) - and he can still get better - but he is Green in Portland's term only on offense.
