Ahhhh shit...... that mormon dude from the OT page is gonna' be pissed!

Oh, I thought he was undrafted. Sorry. Our starters came back in late in the 2nd and blew our lead down from 5 to 2. We have a giant foul problem at Center. 4 Hickson, 3 Freeland, Leonard out, 2 Aldridge.

Glad that we can count of Lillard being able to hit FTs. Don't know how many games THIS season it will matter in, but for the future anyway.

Lillard is 2-10 from field, has 5 pts, 4 assts.

Nic- 26 min/ 7-12 for 17 pts/5 reb/2blks/2 stls/1 dime

3rd quarter: Hickson got 2 fouls and 1 turnover in the 1st minute and didn't play again in the quarter. That gave him 4 fouls and really hurt us, since Brenda can't replace him. Jefferson and Millsap just pile up the assists. Someone's got to get between that love match. Lillard continued to stink up the shooting but took fewer shots finally. We fell behind that quarter. I like what Pavlovic does. He's selective like Batum, invisible until he does something good.

I said this a month ago......I think LA/Nic/Wes/Lillard will be among the league leaders in minutes played. We just can't afford to not have those guys on the court... EVER!

Now that preseason is about to be over, I think I'm finally actually truly excited for basketball for the first time in over a year.

What are you most looking forward to this year?

Seeing if Lillard can be the real deal and if Nic can sustain aggressive and high level play ... also, I'm anxious to see what Stott's offense looks like when it finally does get clicking.

Nic with a decent game:

17 pts || 10 rebs || 3 stls || 2 blks || 50 FG%

Also, I wasn't particularly good this year, but I went ahead and asked Santa Claus for a normal injury year -- not zero injuries, just no more god-damned career enders

:banghead:

4th quarter: If we had a clutch scorer like Roy we would have pulled out the win, but Aldridge and Batum are sad replacements who can't score when it matters. Lillard finally made a couple in a row early in the quarter, but reverted to jacking up missed 3s. Lillard is the goat of the game (he also had many turnovers and few assists). Batum's box score stats overstate his influence. Kanter and Favors made shot after shot in the 4th, while Tinsley piled up assists. Utah's system produces a lot of assists for their big men, while our system doesn't produce assists leading to Aldridge and Matthews buckets. Those two aren't great dribblers and would be greatly helped with some catch and shoots.

Kanter is going to be a problem.

He went from rookie dud to a legit starter.

for a rook Lillards been good, he'll have some stinkers, but overall I like

Get used to this FAMS.........

Doesn't surprise me at all. On the plus side, if the starters can play well together and develop some kind of cohesion, they may lose a helluva lot of games in the short term, but they'll have something to maybe build on when Olshey finds them some reinforcements in next year's draft or in free agency.

Tyrone Corbin's system turns his big guys into overachievers.
Turnovers: 7 Aldridge, 5 Hickson, 5 Lillard.
Turnovers: 25 Jazz, 17 Blazers.
Steals: 5 Millsap, 4 Tinsley, 4 Carroll.
Assists: 23 Jazz, 14 Blazers.
Steals: 18 Jazz, 10 Blazers.

Why the fuck won't Stotts play Claver?

Also, Barton didn't enter until late and played 5 minutes.

Enes Kanter looks like Gheorghe Muresan.
