Blazers need 15 or more swish3s per game to win, and need to optimize those shots by spread court, best shooters, and sweet spot play set ups. Winning teams usually have at least 15 swish3s per game,

Swish3 attempts should be taken by the best shooters. The highest % swish3 shooters in order are Meyers, CJ, Shabazz, and Chief. The 4 of them should be relied on to score those 45 points and keep the per quarter scoring at or above 26 points.

Instead of Mo, I would play--yes even start--Meyers in a game like the Pistons. Both quality of play and freshness favor playing the guy with the highest (61%) FG stat, and would provide a greater chance to win.

With improvements in shooting and defense, I would be counting on Meyers for making 4 or 5 additional swish3s that the Blazers need to have a chance to win games like the Celts and Pistons. I would get the minutes from Mo, Jusuf (to keep him fresh), and Zach. Meyers also spreads the court better, and provides the best screens to free up CJ and Dame.

By strengthening the swish3 strategy, the Blazers have a better chance more wins.

15 swish3's per game is quite a lot. I'm assuming you mean 15 made swish3's.

Management should have hypnotized Turner to perform in this role months ago. fm.png

So this is basically yet another thread to make it all about Meyers Leonard?

Is this actually you, Meyers?

The problem is Meyers won't take swish3's. He gets open, catches the ball, and then hesitates until the defender gets too close to shoot. He needs to watch Collins more in that area.

I really don't get where Meyer's head is at. He has all the talents he needs. He gets open. Just shoot the @#$% ball.

It's actually his wife. As she monitors his SM accounts.

Yes. Meyers needs for the coaching staff to assign the Blazers to make at least 15 swish3s, and for his role to be making 4 or more of them. This takes only 8 shot attempts statistically! Using the best shooters to score more points will increase the number of wins.

Defensive intensity is always important to result in more swish3s made than the opponents. When the Blazers bring the best shooters, creative offense, and effective defense, more wins are likely.

So basically Meyers Leonard is the solution.

I think we should just assign 2 swish3s per game to every player on the active roster. 2 is not very many, but it all adds up to 24 swish3s. Any player who can't meet their quota needs to be shipped out. We're in the business of trying to hit swish3s and win games, here. In that order.

This sounds more Terry Stotts posting than anyone else. Isn't he the one that said if he could get the team to shoot even more 3s he would?

Tari Stotes noes baskitbol!

Hold up, are you saying scoring more points on higher percentage shooting while playing better defense will generate more wins? How do you know this?

My point is that more swish3 scoring gives improved chance of winning, and Meyers, CJ, Shabazz, and Chief are the best shots and should take more.

The Blazers are below the average for swish3 points. Teams with 11.7 swish3s made per game have an advantage. The Rockets average >15 swish3s per game, and the Blazers could too. This idea would help bring Blazer scoring up to the 112 points per game that has the high probability of being a win.

Using talent wisely, I imagine that the Blazers can achieve 47 or more wins for this season.
