Because, McMillan's genius can't be measured. His understanding of basketball is so far beyond Poppovich and Jackson that it has actually come back around to the other side. To the uneducated eye it "appears" that he is insane and no he hasn't been riding Brandon's coat tails thus far...it just looks that way.

Can anyone give me one valid reason for Nate to bench Oden before he can build up any sort of confidence?

Wow, Miller is quite impressive. He might be the best Blazer this pre-season, if not most consistent.

I don't think anyone will be able to because there isn't one. When he pulled Oden for that 2nd he crushed his confidence...again. I guess if Oden can weather Nate no one else will be able to bother him so we got that going anyways.

Blake has started other games this preseason where Oden didn't get into foul trouble.

Outlaw is the least of the concerns for the Blazers right now.
 
If Blake and Miller are going to hold a "see who can shoot more shots" competition instead of playing PG, Bayless may as well start.

That seems reasonable. Bad reffing aside, I feel like Nate put Oden right back into his mood from last year. I mean he plays Martell with 4 and Oden gets the hook at 2? What a terribly confusing message to send to Oden.
