Blazers Offensive/Defensive Efficiency Ratings

I did a simple equation of subtracting the defensive effiency rating from the offensive rating. The greater the sum, the "better".

By my calulations, only Boston and Miami have better results than the Blazers. I wonder if this stat means much, though?

It means that those teams have played very well so far. Of course, the main two caveats are small sample size and strength of schedule.

I don't think it tells us much about relative rankings of teams without more of the season played, but I think it shows that Portland has been playing well and there's no reason to be alarmed about the team. It would be unexpected if they remained top-three, but I think they should remain top-five or top-six.

Well considering that Miami and Boston are one of the top 3 teams in the league, you can say something. But honestly, I love how we are seriously putting a "Choke Hold" on the other team's offense. It will bail us out when our shots aren't falling.
