Btw, I am upset at the pick but I don't mind eating crow if he pops. Just frustrated.

Just please get another vet somehow.

I like it of all the players left on the board, assuming we keep it. But yes, I'm also hoping there are additional vet moves for this season. This can't be it.

I like the Sharpe pick, but did we ever find out why he didn’t play last year? Was he eligible?
He was. I can find the interview with the Kentucky beat writer for you. He was talking to I think a Kings reporter.

This I agree with. My intruige level is high.

I don't agree with the pick 100% but it at least makes some sense.

Just don't play him meaningful minutes this year IMO. In two years? I guess I can see it.

Why don't we actually see what he does in summer league and camp and in the early season and what the team has this year before we rule him out as a rotation guy?

I’m curious if we had a conversation with Shaedon at his workout, on how comfortable he would be playing a wing position. He reminds me of Paul George.

I saw him listed as 6'6 with a long 7 foot or more wingspan so he's the same as Justice Winslow that way...he can play SF no problem...just needs more muscle ..at 18 this kid could still grow taller

Do you realistically expect a guy who hasn't played a meaningful minute outside of high school to just... Get it?

I'm just being realistic. It's asinine to think he'll be a contributor this year.

You're not being realistic, though. Neither of us know a lot of what he brings to the table or the state of the team this season.

Being realistic would be saying let's actually see what we have. You seem to be setting your bar on the ground because you have a preconceived idea about Sharpe and about the quality of the Blazers this year.

You can call that "asinine" if you like, but, well, I'd like to see how you'd define making a kneejerk judgment on how many minutes a guy you've never seen play should get, especially in the context of the entire team.

Get it?

Kuminga played 19 mpg last year for the Warriors, and he played just 14 G League games before being drafted #7.

Jalen Green played only 15 games for the Ignite before being drafted #2.

Both of these guys had decent roles and impact their rookie years.

Steep learning curve for Sharpe, but not unreasonable.

Measured 6'4.25 at the combine without shoes.

I think he'll contribute. How much though is up for debate. If he shows some promise he may be moved!

Lots of guys without mins outside of HS have contributed

So basically he came in late and his camp probably told him "Coming in late and playing without a true training camp with the team can only hurt your draft stock".
Yeah probably.

Definitely. We don't have a guard who can fly like him with a 7 foot wingspan. When did we ever?

Winslow and Little both measured 6'4.5" without shoes at the combine. Winslow with a smaller wingspan, Little with a longer wingspan. Sharpe is giving up 20-25 lbs on both of them coming into the league, but Hart can take the stronger of the SG/SF defensively when they're out there.
