Blazers pursuing C Joel Przybilla (1 Viewer)

Absolutely. Bringing back Przy is much more important than having Pavlovic wearing street clothes every night behind the bench.

I agree. After looking at Pavlovic's stats, I have concluded that he is horrible.

I'm sorry, but did any of you see him play last year? I love Joel too, but other than not being able to jump, run, or shoot, he would be a great addition. Dude is done.

I've advocated bringing in Joel to teach Leonard the Joel Way of the Warrior since before we drafted him. Coach or player, either way. I'd rather it be as big man coach or trainer. Give those knees a rest, Joel.

Didn't read the whole thread....... don't need to..... i know more then all of you combined. That said, I think Joel would be a perfect mentor of Leonard. Instill that kick ass and take names mentality! I do know that Joel kinda' wants to finish up his career close to home with the Bucks...... but we'll see.

Great, but who int he fuck is talking about edging?

Would rather have Pavlovic for a backup 3, than Babbitt for a 3.5/4/whatever the heck he is.

That's silly to me... Pavlovic has been one of the worst players in the NBA the past five years. He's also 28 years old so it's not likely for him to take a significant jump in terms of capability.

In five years, Babbitt might prove to be one of the worst players in the NBA, but I'd rather have the unknown than the known in this case.

Ed O.

I'd be fine with waiving Pavlovic to sign Joel, especially since the Celtics are paying his salary anyway. Przy probably won't play much except in case of emergency (yeah, like that will be a problem) but I'm fine with having him as a locker room guy and towel waiver who can whisper sweet nothings in to Myers' ear during games.

I don't really care much either way, he was very terrible his last two seasons. I just don't know if he'll ever regain the athleticism to be a decent bench player like he once was. I guess I'm somewhat concerned he could get minutes I'd rather see go to Hickson, Freeland, or Leonard. Also would he eliminate our chance of being a few bucks under the cap and gaining a small asset in a trade? But we may have actually stayed over the cap this offseason so then signing Pryz wouldn’t have any effect…

He would be a familiar face to have on the team so that would be fun from a fan perspective. I don’t think it’ll help us in any way basketball wise but if it doesn’t hurt then what the heck sign him up.
Ditto. I couldn't agree with your comment even more. You hit the nail on the head.

I imagine he'd come in as a 3rd stringer. He's still a capable center who can rebound, defend the post, and take charges....

This. If he doesn't get a minute of game time, Przy can still make Leonard, Freeland, and the team better.

Now Gery Woelfel of the Journal Times is reporting on Twitter that the Bucks and Przybilla may hook up this season.
Larry Sanders started slowly in the Vegas Summer League, but caught on late and sat out the final game. He could be a tweener center, but the Bucks struggled mightily last year with zero true centers after the Bogut trade. They now have one in Samuel Dalembert and a second could soon be on the way.
The Bucks are now over the salary cap, but it’s not impossible that there are other moves on the horizon, especially considering the Bucks lack of depth at the wing spots. They could potentially sign Przybilla using either the biannual exception or their remaining portion of the midlevel exception. (They used part of it to sign Doron Lamb.)
One factor that has been mentioned repeatedly during the Bucks/Przybilla tango is that Joel has family in Wisconsin.

Fine by me, its time we move on from Joel. He has lost his athleticism.
