It's a rare time when Dame doesn't guard the PG.

We don't hide him.
Last season he did it more but we've buried Dame and CJ on defense many times.....against the Grizz Dame was actually on Gasol a lot...my point is we put our best defenders on scoring pt guards pretty often...we have some guys who can defend this season in the backcourt.

I watched every game and didn't see this. I'm sure it wasn't in the gameplan. That's not hiding Dame and if anyone needs hiding it's CJ.

I did...but hey....it's all good

I think of Curry as a combo guard, much the same as CJ and even Dame to an extent. Baldwin plays offense like a 1 and defense like a traditional 2. In other words, it's pretty easy to see any combination of these guys on the floor together at a given time.

So, essentially, McCollum is our best player - he is the only one who appears on EVERY SINGLE unit.
Yeah, we should be lucky to salary dump this guy...
Those aren't necessarily all the most effective 5-man units; just the ones that silent the most time on the floor together. Remind me who led the Blazers in total minutes played this year...

You know that is because the data came out of CJ's page on 82games, so it only included 5-man lineups with CJ in them, right?

Interestingly, one of the most efficient units last year was this:

11 Napier-Lillard-McCollum-Aminu-Nurkic 75.4 1.26 1.00 +38 11 5 68.7

I wonder how long before we see a unit of Dame, Baldwin, CJ, Aminu, Nurkic or Dame, Curry, CJ, Aminu, Nurkic?

Note: as of 7/23, the score is 24 to 5 in favor of Curry being a backup 2, thus opening the door for Baldwin.

Training camp begin in 2 months from yesterday, and it'll be interesting if Stotts agrees with us.

We might at some point in the season see a unit of Dame, Baldwin, CJ, Aminu, Collins or Dame, Curry, CJ, Aminu, Collins

@Reep , thanks for mentioning that. I thought I replaced it with the data out of the team's page. I will go ahead and put that here so there is no more confusion about it.

May as well bump this now.

I think the rotation will look like this in the beginning of the season, just based off of what I’ve read and seen so far.

Dame
CJ
Harkless
Aminu
Nurkic

Curry
Stauskas/CJ
Turner
Collins
Leonard

I think the top 8 is obvious. That leaves at least one rotation spot up for grabs, with Leonard having first crack. But since it’s Leonard, I don’t expect him to actually hold onto it. With Zach’s versatility that would open up an opportunity for Layman, Trent, and Biggie.
