Then all we need to do is bring Monty Williams in to get this team playing defense. Anderson and Williams are very close to each other. I'd welcome Anderson, hes actually really good. His only concern is health, hes had some back issues the past few years.

Don't want to pay up for Anderson this summer.

Interesting..but we had Mike Miller who does about the same thing only is older

I think Stotts wants him on our team so he doesn't have to watch him kick our butts so much when we play against him.

He is 27 and with his contract situation I would also vote for a pass.

Hope this doesn't come to fruition - the guy doesn't fit the youth movement.
I'd rather hold onto the youth potential players that we'd have to give up to get him- plus Anderson will be asking for big dollars next season.

No thanks. He might be good for some teams. But not for the Blazers. LOL

Yibada is garbage btw.

This is the site that reported that Portland wanted a Rubio/Lillard backcourt.

Disregard.

He is 27 ...
going on 35! Fuck Ryan Anderson. I wouldn't give up a 2nd rounder for him. Yeah, he's clearly good - but for how long? And he's not good enough to make a difference...except for losing out on our draft pick.

Don't need him.

and tbh, id hate to see who we'd give up to get him.

I really hate people comparing Leonard to Sabonis. They are NOTHING alike. Sabonis had such a natural feel for the game and was the best passing player we ever had--at any position.
Meyers is... tall. (And even in that he falls well short of Sabonis.)

Of our current centers Plumlee is actually a lot closer. He's a very solid passer and seems to have an idea of what he's doing on the court.

NBC sports had an article saying they are not interested in moving Anderson at all

Why on earth would the Blazers do this?

He's basically what we hoped Meyers would become.

Which is a little bit depressing.
If this rumor is true, it would seem to indicate that the Blazers have serious doubts about wanting to sign Leonard to a big contract next summer.

I don't think we need both Anderson and Meyers and unless they think Meyers leaves as a free-agent I would rather keep Meyers.
Anderson is a more depandable player but is also less explosive and older. I think by the time Meyers is Anderson's age he would be better than Anderson even if Anderson is still the better player right now
