He actually got some decent defense stats but offense stats needs to improve but I look at it they can get good look at him to see if they want to small contract next year.

two ways don’t count as part of the active 15 man roster. I doubt Leaf will be spending anytime in the g league this season. My guess is he’ll practice with the team and provide depth as he can be active for the remaining games. I also believe he would be a RFA if they give him a qualifying offer in the summer, but not 100% sure. Could be cheap depth for next season.

I believe the G League season is over which is the point.
