It even more difficult to recover from when the management is in denial that it needs a rebuild.

You don't think they see what we do? It's not as if they're sitting at One Center Court thinking all is well - methinks you don't understand the whole player acquisition thing.

Why...did....Gerald...Wallace....play....44....minutes.

It just makes no fucking sense.

Good for Bayno, Porter, and Adelman by the way. I'm happy for them. I'll root for Minnesota in the playoffs.

In 31 minutes the "untouchable" Batum was utterly forgettable. You can build a franchise with inconsistent players that think they need to be paid like stars. I'd look to move him at deadline.

It was clear last year -- at least to Rich Cho.

Even more now.

That's cause Nate pulled him when he did something bad. Wallace played 44 minutes today.....why? For what fucking reason? Matthews had more minutes and did shit. Crawford shot 3-13 but Nate was okay with that.

They're hot and yet two games over .500 and not in the playoffs. That's some quick bandwagon jumping there Eric!

Love had 28, 16 and was 9-16 from the floor. I didn't really see anybody give him fits.

Of course you didn't, because you're a Timberwolves fan. Just admit it and get it over with. Stop pretending to like the Blazers, and get on with it. You followed Love while you were in HS, and he's your guy now. There is no shame in switching allegiances, but there is shame in still pretending you're a Blazer fan.

Well congrats to the T-wolves for pulling themselves out of the cellar and into respectability ... the Blazers. Well what else is there to be said that hasn't been already?
We need to amass first round draft picks like the Wolves and Thunder did? Where's Cho when we need him?

Lets trade the guys we can for picks but I don't want to take back contracts. Lets get a lotto pick and have the gods smile on our cursed franchise and gift us either Andre Drummond or Anthony Davis and then us having 28m+ in capspace, we can recover and be contenders again.

Exactly. Cho advocated a rebuild and was canned. He didn't come to this franchise with any particular affinity for the players and judged them solely on their production. I don't have any confidence in current management.

I do agree with this. We had people during the game whining because Batum wasn't in the game.

He sucked tonight. That's why he wasn't in the game.

It just makes no fucking sense.

GW had a near triple double with 16 pts, 9 assist, 9 rebounds, 1 blk, 1 steal, and a three pointer. Playing him made a lot of sense. Geez.

He's going to look for around 10 million per year in the summer. I just don't see the consistency from his game that would justify that financial commitment.

13/9/9

You have a problem with a GameScore that will be near 20?

There's no reason to play 45 minutes when you have a 7 game road trip. The coach should have some more foresight....and confidence in his other players. Geez. By the way, he had 13 points in those 45 minutes. That's pretty sad.

Well, Charlotte is shitty right now with Cho as GM, though.

He's an expert on rebuilding, I guess, but only if you luck into the #2 pick in a year that the #1 pick was a bust.

Blazers shoot only 4 free throws... 🤦

3-23 from 3-point line... ugh.

How is horrid 3-pt shooting on the coach?

Because his offense has always been heavily dependent on the trey. When he has a team that is shooting well from 3-pt range, he wins 54 games. When he has a team that can't shoot 3s, we get what happened tonight.

For a poor shooting team to barf up 20+ 3s in a game is lazy, selfish, and just plain dumb basketball. Damn straight part of the blame for that falls on the coach.

This.

Am I wrong in thinking that Ewill may already be as good as Wes if he got the same minutes? Wes has really regressed

Yes.

They're hot and yet two games over .500 and not in the playoffs. That's some quick bandwagon jumping there Eric!

Minnesota is tied with Houston for the 8th spot.

You're better than this. LMA only got 30 minutes because of foul trouble. Wallace had to play more, unless you were hoping for Craig Smith to come in and save the day.

Oh right, 13. Still, he had a near triple double. He was not the problem. And he didn't need to rest. We have a lot of rest built into this trip. Check the schedule.

I don't much care about an individual player's minutes, but basically playing a seven man rotation in this season? ... I often wonder just how much of the Blazers' woes this season are due to playing a compressed schedule without enough distribution of minutes -- I mean, aside from our mostly horrendous guard play.

There's no reason Batum/Camby/Thomas/Przybilla couldn't have filled those minutes, and did an equal/better job.

They should have put Thomas and Camby in at the same time. The only player who did decent on Love was Thomas.

I mean seriously, BRoy. It's sad to have 13 points when you have 9 rebounds and 9 assists? Learn the game, then post.

Seeing Wes trying to run a fast break or be a part of one makes me want to close my eyes... he just doesn't have the athleticism or agility to finish, or ability to find open guys. Ugh.

Why are you against Wallace? He was our best player tonight.

Because his offense has always been heavily dependent on the trey.

Portland is 13th in 3pt attempts/game this year.

They were 13th last year, too.

They were 19th in 2009-10.

They were 13th in 2008-09.

You don't know what you're talking about, at least after looking at the stats. Nate is middle of the pack in terms of 3-pointers.

Guess which coach depends on the three, at least according to the stats?
