I don't think Cronin could go through with that deal now. Detroit did us a favor.

funny how Hart for Grant doesn't meet CBA requirements but Bledsoe for Grant does

Cronin better not revisit that rumor and trade Hart and the Pels pick for Grant in June. That would be fucking stupid

But does the offer jive with what the expert’s in this forum would want? I wonder what kind of deal they will offer at the draft?

What worries me is that Cronin will repeat what Olshey did by giving up draft picks for someone that isn't a good fit.
Grant fits for his position but so did Robert Covington.
Josh Hart isn't the best fit by position need, but he's a great fit for the team. I'd rather have Josh Hart.

You're an expert too. Tell us.

That's right, you never do.

Thank you, Detroit!! What an awful deal.
Or could Detroit be playing us? Perhaps they will think the Blazers will offer up a better package at the draft. Hopefully Joe will be replaced before then but probably not.

Who is the expert? And what of theirs would the offer jive with?

Responding to the thread generally: Hart is a fine player, but his contract makes him a valuable player. Moving him for Grant straight-up would be something I'd probably not want to do, and giving up additional chunks of our future to do so would have been (or will be) dumb and I hope whomever is in charge figures that out before they try again.

Yeah, we're watching Cronin make moves far worse than Olshey's. But the Olshey and CJ haters seem to praise any shit this team does. Blazers are in a battle with the Kings and Wizards for worst roster in the league.

We’ve seen what Sell Low Joe has done to clear the Blazers’ books of Olshey’s bad contracts, but we haven’t seen much of him in acquisition mode. Until we do, he gets an incomplete in my books.

Just like nobody should be giving Billups a bad time for not winning with a poorly constructed roster, nobody should be giving Cronin crap for what he's done after being handed a roster full of bad contracts and minimal draft assets.

We could be the 8th seed right now had we continued the Olshey plan with little room to improve. Is that what you're longing for?

Anything outside of incomplete is a rush to judgement in my book as well.

If this is true.... does Cronin hate the Blazers or is he truly this utterly incompetent?
Inexperienced and not sure its his wheel house yet. Until they take the interim tag from him there will be lost of conjecture on who's calling shots?

I think Grant would be a good fit. I like Hart as well. Tough decision? I wonder what people would have said before they watched Hart for a few games as a Blazer? I’m thinking at the trade deadline a lot more people would have called it a good deal.

I guess maybe some would have, but there are a lot of Blazer fans who have liked Hart for a while. At least those who rely on the eyeball test.
