Instead of trying to figure out who off the Blazers will get traded, here are my ideas for who I believe the Blazers could get in RETURN as part of a deal/deals with teams that have assets to trade and fit Niel Olshey's bargain hunting mentality:

Caris Lavert ~Brooklyn
Garrett Temple ~Sacremento
Wayne Ellington ~Miami
E'Twaun Moore ~New Orleans
TJ Warren ~Phoenix

Dream #1

Crabbe, Aminu, 2 or 3 #1's, FOR Jimmy Butler

Would love to have our lineup be:

Lillard
McCollum
Butler
Vonleh
Nurkic

Dream #2

Trade Meyers Leonard straight up for pretty much any draft pick that we can get.

Please post your ideas of who the Blazers could/should get.

But if we got Jimmy Butler we'd likely be competing with the Cavs and Warriors. We can't have that.

I suggested Warren a few weeks ago -- definitely an upgrade IMO.

Meyers
Turner
Crabbe

In Return--

The World.

That's more believable than most fan proposed trades.

I hope none of our trade partners read this board.(Why wouldn't they. Everyone here is an expert.)

Our players would have no trade value whatsoever.

The truth is probably somewhere between the worst players on the planet and future hall of famers like we see in almost every trade posts. It will be interesting to see what the rest of the league thinks.

If Jimmy Butler is the answer, then the question isn't nearly as good as everybody says it is...

Awesome take very clever. A three time all star two way player is definitely not the answer. Crazy it was even brought up.

If the Blazers can get Butler or George I'm a happy man

Other than the guys you mentioned

Justin Hamilton C - Brooklyn
Henry Ellenson C - Pistons ( Boban would be nice)
Justin Winslow SF Miami
Willie Reed C Miami
Rodney McGruder SG Miami
Willy Hernangomez C New York
Kyle O'Quinn PF/C New York
Mario Hezonja SF Orlando
Aaron Gordon PF Orlando
Richaun Holmes PF Philly
Kelly Oubre Jr SF Washington
Dwight Powell PF Dallas
Deyonta Davis PF Memphis
Cheick Diallo PF New Orleans
Josh Huestis SF OKC
Willy Cauley Stein C Sacramento

Great contracts we won't get or that will be hard to get

Miles Turner C Indiana
Giannis Antekounmpo SF Milwaukee
Kristops Porzingis C New York
Dario Saric SF Philly
Georgui Dieng C Minnesota
Julius Randle PF Lakers

Value contracts I wouldn't necessarily want

Victor Oladipo SF OKC
Steve Adams C OKC
Alex Abrines SG OKC
Tyler Ulis PG Phoenix
Wesley Johnson SF Clippers
Daniel Ochefu PF Wizards
JJ Barea PG Dallas
Chinanu Onuaku PF Houston

Oh, come on. It was a funny line.

As for Butler, he'd be a phenomenal addition on defense but I have my doubts about how well he would blend with Lillard and CJ, both on offense and off the court. I'd love to see those doubts laid to rest, though.

EDIT: And I don't think we're close enough for adding Butler by himself to bring us up to the top tier in the NBA, but he sure as hell would bring us a lot closer...

Agree to disagree then. I think a core of dame cj butler and nurkic matches up with anyone.

Now admit it was a funny line.

I agree with the butler concerns
