Blazers @ Twolves Valentine day edition (anti love style)

LA either ran out of fumes, or just stopped giving a shit after halftime, when he'd more than made his point.

Minnesota did a good job of overloading all night on the Aldridge-involved pnr's, but sacrificed their weakside defense in the process. (Part of the reason Dante went wild on the o-boards tonight, and also opened it up for Wesley and Rudy to have nice nights.)

LMA- Again, Minny did all they could to shut down the pnr roll game with Aldridge and Darko's size give him some problems tonight. Missed some looks he probably hits but we didn't need a dominant performance from him tonight.

Matthews- Got it going from three and ran hard in transition. Nice night for him.

Dante- Took advantage of the extra attention Minny was giving LA with numerous cuts off doubles, and crashing the boards when Minny overloaded on the pnr (mainly Love). Hit his looks from the perimeter and also did a great job defending Love and keeping off the glass. Career night for him.

Rudy- Continues to give that spark off the bench. Getting his stroke back a bit and has played underrated solid defense all year.

That LA spike to the face of Love and the grin afterward was classic!

How many PF/Cs have games of 21 points/6 rebounds/5 assists/2 steals/1 block/1 TO?

If anything, LMA showed his all-around skills tonight, IMO. Plus, he shut down Kevin Love, but that's not really that hard for him to do.

LMA is 4-0 against Love this year; Love needs double-team help or is pulled off of LMA in single coverage, and Love is pretty much useless against LMA offensively.

I said it before, and I'll say it again. The only reason Love made the AS game is because he is a white player from the USA putting up great stats on a terrible team. His own limitations are helping make them a terrible team.

This will be a tough tough game for so many reasons.

1. They are due for a loss vs minny.

2. Love will wanna prove he belongs in all star game.

3. Tough to beat a team four times in 1 year.

4. Love on valentines day seems like a cant lose. ESPN will be all over that.

5. They are getting Ridnour, Beasley, Webster back.

6. Tough game for Blazers night before.

Im saying a twolves win.

I was gonna say he still played great overall and showed a lot of patience. I just spaced typing it at the end of that blurb.

Classic was the replay booth showing the clip making it look like LA was dribbling it on Love's schnoz. HCP, if that was you, my hat's off to you, man.

Love getting hit in the face by an inadvertent Aldridge basketball was truly poetic on so many levels. Eat it, Kevin.

Wait until he gets some legitimate options around him. He has a garbage team around him and I've never claimed he was a go-to man scoring wise. Tonight, might have been his worst game of the year.

He's on a team that can't/doesn't take full advantage of his passing skils, and that can't cover for his defensive shortcomings.

That said - he is still a douche-bruin, and I fail to see how he is any better than the much reviled Zach Randolph.

I was watching on League Pass so I was stuck with the Minny broadcast (not bad by the way).

On what planet is 31-24 better than 31-24?

On the same planet where Yi is an all-star. Although, with Kevin Love an all-star, this planet might be closer than it appears in the mirror.

Humor?

It's the same with crappy TV shows, their only purpose is to remind us just how awesome the few good TV shows are.

Because his attempts to bug people are successful and he gets lots of responses, which he enjoys.

That's why he's here. ;)

And maybe a reason you aren't a mod anymore?

Wait, you post here is the reason why minstrel isn't a mod?

Do you ever edit your thoughts before you post them?

And maybe a reason you aren't a mod anymore?

Yes, MIXUM. I was fired as a moderator because my behind-the-scenes attempts to get you removed upset the higher-ups. They didn't like me viciously attacking one of the site's best, most well-reasoned posters. You were my downfall.

BUT HOW DID YOU KNOW???

Hope you guys liked my replay of LA drilling Love in the grill!

It was another flat home performance for the Wolves, who are 0-4 at Target Center in February and have lost those games by an average of 16.2 points. They've been hurting for fan support for several years, but the Target Center attendance on Monday night was glaring even by their standards.

The Wolves announced a crowd of just over 11,000, but far fewer were actually in attendance. In the second quarter, seven fans were counted sitting in sections 218-224 of the upper level. Those sections wrap the back of the building from one corner to the other behind one basket.

AND WTF HAS HAPPENED TO BATUM??????????????

HES LOOKS WORSE THEN HE DID IN EARLY NOVEMBER.

"Martell Webster led the Wolves with 17 points, but Minnesota got just one point, no rebounds and no assists combined from starters Jonny Flynn, Corey Brewer and Wes Johnson"
