First-Half Thoughts:
Tim Frazier can go. Dude gets the ball and is up the court in a flash. It's really nice to see the team play with some tempo for a change. Whether it was B-Roy or LA, we NEVER ran. Although it's just the beginning of summer, I'm loving the pace. He'll also rack up the assists when he gets to play with the varsity (ie: That lob to Moultrie is flushed home by Meyers or Mase)
Allen Crabbe's shot continues to be inconsistent. With that said, there's no need to panic. He's not a summer league player, meaning he'll never explode for 25 because he's a specialist who needs others to create for him. I would like to see him become more aggressive on D (that steal was nice) and hit those open jumpers. But let's not freak out just because he had a poor shooting half. He's proven he can shoot when given looks in an NBA setting.
Pat Connaughton is going to be a fan favorite. He's a great 3&D player who just knows where to be on the floor. He and Frazier have a nice little chemistry brewing early on. I really hope this kid gets some decent run in the regular season. Like Crabbe, I don't think the summer league is probably the best setting for him either. I think we'll see his game improve when playing with better players.
Luis Montero had a nice triple, but other than that I didn't notice him too much. He'll definitely be a project, so whatever we get from him is gravy.
