Marty arrives in the future on my birthday! Coincidence?

Even nicer that he left the game early to go to the airport, which spurred the Blazers epic, dare I say, historic comeback.

;)

I was gonna write this too! Love it! hahaha! Bbert said it though, I would have just been the -by Ben Golliver guy!

I left halfway through overtime..I knew we had it..didn't want to jinx it and purchased the very first parking spot in the Moda Center garage so made my escape with no line in front of me whatsoever...a slick urban move for a rural hack like me...I had forgotten how the air smells in Portland..it's like fast food and diesel only subtle without the eye irritations...drove past our old house in Wilsonville on the way out..hadn't been there in 15 years..that place has changed

I'd have to say Lillard is pretty popular!
Lots of Leonard and people buying leonard jerseys.

Saw some girls wearing a Pippen and a Rod strickland. A few brian grants. Sabonis a few pryzbillas. Detlef schremph. A few kerseys and porter jerseys as well and the best was a game worn autographed Antonio harvey with i think the Mo Lucas memorial black stripe on the shoulder.

I need to step my game up.

Great? Use of 'great' with this young team might need some definition. Even if they were to win 40 games or sneak into the bottom rung of the playoffs, that might be beating expectations but certainly not 'great'. I'm a huge Blazer fan but there has to be some level of reality, right? : )

That would be entirely "great", especially since most around the NBA world think they took a huge shit this summer. Barely making the playoffs with an average age (excluding kayman) is something like 23 years old.

Well at least Lillard had a good night shooting the 3 for the first time in a while

No not at all when it comes to this roster. These geeks think we are making the playoffs. You know........ be cause preseason has always been, like summer league, the best way to evaluate how a team will do in the regular season.

Did they play the "HEY" song? I fucking LOVE whenever they bust that shit out.

Re-listening to the play by play... I love the Vonleh-Davis front court. They're vacuum cleaners on the offensive boards.
Even better is watching it again (which I just did:ygrin:); a thing of beauty seeing those 2 grab/dominate everything!:blazerwookie: I really like having Vonleh & Davis out there together (Vonleh & Davis got most of theirs on O from sweet put-backs! :showoff:), they play very well together; eventually when Vonleh's offense starts solidifying (~1-2years away)... I'm wanting these 2 as our starters. Was this preseason? Yes, however, the way Vonleh & Davis played CAN translate to the reg. season, this IS 1 of the few things that we CAN get excited about/read into (i.e. ALSO our rebounding will be insane! Let's not forget that Alexander will be back soon!) :smiley-laughing: Our starting bigs (for now...), we've got the "Ivory Towers" & then we follow up w/... THE Ebony Enforcers (playing off the Stevie Wonder thang:tongue2:)! Really liked how Harkless looked out there & Mason did some good things too; w/ Mason, I DEFINITELY see him putting it on the floor more w/ us vs. when he was w/ the Nets.

We couldn't have asked for a better preseason/teaching tool IMO (the win is nice but wasn't the most important takeaways here ooooofff course:wink:); this game was an excellent example of needing to b mentally strong/prepared (against a seasoned team of regulars, I don't think we would've won but even IF that were the case & we lost, I think we would've brought the same fight & we STILL would've grown/learned invaluable lessons!). Our guys knew it'd b mostly scrubs they'd b facing, @ 1st our guys didn't handle that well BUT in the 4th/OT, they came together/locked in & got 'er done!
