I wouldn't mind the offensive ineptitude so much if they didn't also have the defensive ineptitude. Bad offense combined with bad defense; ugh.

The NBA, where 25 point halftime leads are freely given. :sigh:

Gramps...

They are not down by 25! Don't make it worst than it is! heh

Hey MM, lay it on us. What did your scout buddy observe?

Damn. Steve Blake misses a pair AGAIN! Just what we need when we're trying to climb back from a 30 pt deficit. Just cut his pathetic ass right now.

Steve Blake's first half statline:

0-3 FG (0-2 3pt)
0-2 FT
0 rebounds
0 assists
2 turnovers
1 PF

Yeah baby! :sigh:

Solid finish to the quarter....Coincidentally it came after they started pushing the ball.

Webster has played well

Greg played well

As for the scout I have been watching the game with, he had this to say about the Blazers.

Portland is the easiest team to defend if they are not involving Oden. The only thing you have to worry about is offensive rebounds. He told me every team in the league LOVES that Oden comes out early because it keeps their bigs out of foul trouble.

Webster needs a couple 24 point quarters.

His scout buddy probably took a tranquilizer after the first quarter to avoid inflicting any more pain on himself.

His friend is probably wondering where the Blazers found all these team player stand-ins. I just hope the stand-ins go home at half and the real players come out for the second half.

Bullshit! jumpers win championships, especially long jumpers at the end of the clock and no dribble penetration or post game.

At this point, we might have to settle for the team having a couple 24 point quarters.

I'm glad I went to Wednesday's game instead of this one!!

For the first time since I can remember, I have been disappointed in Joel's play of late. He just doesnt seem like his normal self.

Is that it???? We're expecting more than that. Give us the dirt. What does he say about Nate? Blake? I'm sure part of the reason for our miserable performance can also be attributed to Outlaw - not to mention Sheed, Damon, Zbo and Jack! [/Sarcasm]

Roy is the only one playing tonight.

I think Roy is part of the problem actually. He's playing terrible defense, and he's playing like Zach Randolph on offense. Just pounding the ball into triple teams, trying to score 1 on 3. As we've been saying for years, we need to get a real offense.

He's attacking the defense, and has 7 assists to show for it.

Are you really blaming Roy when Blake is sporting a 0,0,0 line in a whopping 14 minutes?

we need to get a real offense.

I think that comes with a real coach. I'm beginning to think that Nate's statement about only having one-year contracts was so that perhaps, he might hold on to his job through the end of the year with KP & co knowing that he is an expiring contract and they'll just let him walk.

Yes, some of the blame has to be put on the players but Nate's ability to coach a quality team is coming more and more into question (I know, many have been saying it for quite some time but he is being exposed to a greater degree).

Ha!

I might be blaming Roy just a little bit, since he's been so pig-headed about how well he "meshes" with Steve.

Also with a game in Utah tomorrow the Blazers probably only have 12min to make this a 10pt game or less.
