That was the only time in history that a team scored twice as many points as its opponent. Indiana beat us 125-59. 14 days before that 2/28/98 game, we got Damon Stoudamire. His Toronto head coach Darrell Walker resigned that day in protest.

3 days before the game, we beat Michael Jordan, IN Chicago. It was Chicago's 7th loss in their last 118 home games (that's almost 3 seasons). Stoudamire, Rider, and Sheed were the hot shooters. It was considered a great, great win. Sabonis said, "It's important for me, for my kids to know in the years to come we beat them."

Looking around...Here's 1/23/01...

"Andre Miller scored 18 points, Jim Jackson 15 and the Cavaliers rolled to a stunning 84-58 victory over the Trail Blazers, who scored only nine points in the second quarter, 24 in the first half and made only 28% of their shots. Shawn Kemp made his first appearance in Gund Arena since being traded to Portland last August as part of a three-team deal that sent Brian Grant from the Trail Blazers to the Miami Heat. Kemp's return seemed to have everyone on edge, and tempers flared in the third quarter near the Trail Blazers' bench as two fans got into it with some Portland players and coaches."

Okay, I could spend many hours perusing archives. Gotta stop.

Blake has played like shit, and has the best +/- on the team.

Someone explain to me why that is a valid stat?

Let Blake play ;) Put Andre in and let him push the pace..............

I really like what Martell is bringing to the team lately. He is likea good version of Ruben Patterson.

Is that the game where Sheed hit the 3 to win?

Blazers finally started boarding, too. At halftime (among the many indexes of misery), they actually had fewer defensive rebounds than Memphis had offensive.

Marc Gasol looks a lot quicker and coordinated than I remember him.

I have a feeling McMillan may stick with the subs too long to start the 4th.

That was a sweet setup by Andre to finish the quarter. The jumpers have stopped falling for Memphis, along (hopefully) with their confidence. 14 points against the team we expected, with the team we expected, should be doable. Go Blazers!

Blake and Roy are just a terrible combo defensively. If KP could pull off a Blake/Outlaw for Hinrich trade, he should go for it. Kirk would be Blake with much improved defense.

Now it's down to 14. One big run and we even it up and problem kill Memphis' confidence.
