I wonder if lamarcus in the left block has something to do with 100% from the top right? Nah I forgot he doesn't command doubles.

Damn Will Barton, those shots should not even count!

NBA.com does not even mention our record.

The media sources are talking about 17 3s being a franchise record instead of our NBA RECORD. Assholes.

It's only a record in the sense of %'s, but not total 3's made. Orlando and Houston have the record with 23 in a single game.

-- Wesley Matthews on competing in the NBA Three Point Contest in New Orleans in February:

Matthews is shooting an incredible 51 percent from behind the arc this season, trailing only San Antonio’s Marco Belinelli (56 percent) and Atlanta’s Kyle Korver (52 percent) for tops in the league.

His hot play, among others, is a key reason why this Portland team has shot right out of the gate as the surprise team of the year. If Portland continues this amazing play, they could see two Trail Blazers on the NBA All-Star team. And if Matthews continues his hot shooting, Portland could see three Trail Blazers active during All-Star weekend.

When CSNNW.com asked Matthews about his interest in competing in the three-point shootout, he had this response: “You know, I ain’t never ran from a challenge in my life and I’m not going to start now. If they invite me to the three-point contest, I’ll be there.”

When I said the dark knight always rises, they laughed. He leads NBA in 3pt %
When we said lillard would shoot his way out of it, they scoffed lillard 5/6 from 3 tonight.
When I said lamarcus needs MVP chants, they mocked, then he fucked around and got 38/13/5/2 with no turnovers and followed it with a +45 to lead the NBA thus far this season.

I hate that. I'm sorry, and it's not even really you per say, but the dark knight stuff is dumb. No matter how you use it, it sounds cliche. He's Wesley Matthews, not an iconic cartoon character.

The MVP chants in December are dumb, as well. He's playing at that level, yes. But we still have 3/4 of the season to go. Lets save the MVP chants for April, when he's still playing like this. They are much more meaningful then. Right now? Not needed.

Mike Tokito @mtokito
#Blazers' Matthews and Batum have made a three in all 20 games this season, and both guys have a streak of 31 consecutive games active.

FYI Korver just broke the NBA record at 90 straight games

It didn't seem like we were *THAT* on fire watching from press row. I know that sounds crazy since we went 17-23. It probably had to do with the fact the game was so out of hand and we were beating them in all facets of that game that it didn't stick out as much as maybe it would have in a closer game? Regardless, it's great to be in the record books!

The dark knight and the MVP are enjoying your negative Nancy tears on their wheeties.

Seriously Aldridge is getting long overdue crowd love. Wes gave himself the nickname when he was snubbed on the all star ballot because of the "I become what gothom needs me to be" line. He's having fun with the situation. And you want to get all up tight? Their attitudes are why we are playing incredible team ball right now, everyone is having FUN, something we forget about starring at stats all day and playing fantasy leagues. Keep trying to shit in the homer kool aid but it's getting batted away thanks to our new rim protector.

We're tied with Golden State for #1 in the league in 3 point %.

What's funnier? They're making, and taking EXACTLY the same amount of threes per game. 9.8 per game and 23 attempts per game.

Funnier still, one of the headlines of the Houston vs GS game last night was, "Forget the Warriors, the Rockets Are the Lords of the Three." ORLY?

Without Barton's bolo (0-2), the Blazers would have hit an 81% clip last night.

This devil's advocate stuff is unnecessary ridiculous, and weak, from someone who is NOT a Blazer fan - let alone from someone who IS. Wes' grandmother calls him the Dark Knight, so take it up with her. I dare you. And no one started a Heisman Trophy campaign in December. In other words, lawn clippings aren't a substitute for cereal, and sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a Blazer fan.

Hahaha I'm almost tempted to change my Sig now.

All if these threes are wide open shots.

This system is like a better balanced version of the SSOL.

For the record, Heisman Trophy shit is stupid anytime when there are still games to play. Ever. Same with MVP's in baseball, Basketball, soccer, etc. If there are more games to be played, and there's still a chance for people to leapfrog... the MVP chants shouldn't be done. LMA chants? Sure. MVP? No. They are two completely different things.

I don't know why you feel the need to belittle people for having any opinion that is not directly correlated to positiveness from the team. Care to explain that?

I’m sorry you feel belittled personally. Maintaining a stupid opinion tends to lend itself to feelings of being belittled personally when someone points out how and why that opinion is so stupid. I’m not trying to change your opinion, but I am absolutely making fun of it how stupid it is. If you don't like that explanation, don't ask for one. Just state your opinion and move on. Welcome to the board Rook. ;)
