It's been known for quite some time that Rudy Fernandez isn't a happy camper in Portland.

And the Blazers appear to be working on his ticket out of town.

Tweets Brian T. Smith of the Columbian on Wednesday afternoon: "Blazers are actively pursuing trade for Fernandez. Team is willing to keep Fernandez, though, and will not give him away for 'free.'"

The Kings are looking for guards with a penchant for shooting, so that could be a possible landing spot for Fernandez.

One other team that makes sense? The Hornets.

ESPN's John Hollinger has the reasons why:

"Gotta wonder if new Hornets GM Dell Demps' first order of business will be trying to trade for Rudy Fernandez. Team needs a 2 and shooters. I have no inside info on that one, just wondering out loud. Makes too much sense."

Hmmm I guess he isn't impressed with Thornton aye?

Good luck with that, Portland.

Thornton's more a scorer than a shooter.

He has a scorers mentality, but you want that from your SG do you not? They call it shooting guard for a reason! For a "scorer" he has a pretty efficient stat line. .450 is pretty damn efficient for a guard, and his .374 from 3 point land isn't bad either, especially for a rookie. I think they have more concerns about his ability to play D.

I sure hope that the Blazers are able to get some sort of value for Fernandez, but with his moaning, i don't know how many teams would want him if they aren't one of the few he listed. Why trade for a player that is just going to piss and moan or perhaps sit out.

by the way, here is my new vid of Rudy Fernandez demanding a trade from Larry Miller

what sort of world do we live in where there is a limit on how much you can praise/rep GOD?

STOMP

I like that trade a lot. With Jason Thompson as their future at the 4 spot and Sacto's need for shooting I could see something like this going down. Not sure where Cunningham would find minutes in the rotation though.

Well, and they have Cousins. That's really why I think they might do it.

FTW

Wow, Carl Landry makes $3 million. Best value in the NBA by far. (off the top of my head)
