Hate to bring this up now after the great win today in Montreal but keep hearing this.

Tough decision but still needs to be bought out to free up some cap space. Need to lock up Kreider, Staal and Zucc going forward. Plus they need to resign Pouliot and Brass.

Yup, his extra cap space is important for adding a W or C..plus maybe a dman to replace Stralman, though Diaz should be re-signed imo for cheap. He's been good this year though I give him that, and it's too bad his deal isn't for another 2y only, just long enough to play with MSL. Stastny I know i've brought up countless times this year but would be an upgrade to play with Nash/CK and for the same $$/less years.

I'll worry about this after the season. How we finish will play a role IMO.

It will come down to business and what money is need to keep the team together and competitive. Right now him and St. Louis are the playoff veterans really driving this run. I agree lets worry about how this ends first.

i can't see we keeping him, its going to be a tough business decision even if we win the cup and he is the MVP, zucc is getting a raise, we need brassard and pouliout. Richards is past his prime, ride the wave while it lasts, he is what he is a good playoff player who gets a lot of minutes. makes a ton of money, we won't be able to buy him out unless its this season i believe. sometimes you have to be tough decisions, my worry is that a rival picks him up, like boston, mtl, philly, pitts
