We need to get into the lottery and get some talent. The teams sucks now. I think one of Dame or CJ is all we really need to keep. It's time to start over.

Didn't you start this thread last year? ;)

Yes, and people should have listened to me. Last year was clearly a mirage. We have ZERO front court talent. Just a bunch of bench players that in our case start.

signing Turner, Crabbe AND Harkless was dumb. Should've done 2 of the 3 of them.

Now is the time to consolidate players and make some trades. This team isn't built to do anything more than struggle to make the playoffs.

Wrong. You need to think more long term.

I agree 100% on your second sentence, but it contradicts the first to an extent. If you don't sign all three, how do you have anyone to move in a package?

NO had to sign all three because at the time, he didn't know who would/will be the best long term fit. He then figures it out in the first half of the season and move the one(s) that are looking to not be part of the long term.

ride it out until the deadline and see whats out there. if they dont bring in a needle mover and if they are still under .500, tank and try to get top 10.

If you did't sign 3 wings, you maybe could've signed, or traded, for a more accomplished big. Or one who plays an iota of defense.

It seems you are forgetting how the offseason went?
We tried, in case you forgot, and wiffed.

Trading is done with the guys we signed. And that can still happen, so you are arguing your own point. How can we trade them if we didn't sign them or let them walk?

I meant during this season. Their more hamstrung by cap space right now, take off 19 million (Crabbe or Turner) and they would be able to absorb more $ coming back (in relation to the lux tax).

But then wouldn't have any viable players worthy of a trade? Crabbe and Turner are movable. So is Leonard. We will be able to do something, but not if it was just money. We know how money works with us... its darn near worthless. And I dont want the space to take on a rudy gay and get stuck with that. Do you?

That is so fucked up

What if the Warriors had this mindset when they were rebuilding and traded away either Steph and Klay? I'm not saying you are wrong thinking we need to make some moves to retool this team. I'm just saying that there probably plenty of options that allow us to keep both CJ and Dame.

That wasn't the scenario though. They traded Monta and that made room for Thompson.
We need to trade one of them, so an oversized two way SG can fill that spot and id rather have okay shooting with elite D than okay D with elite shooting... as long as Dame or CJ are at point, that really is a large part of the solution.
Rim protectors wont be as big of an issue for us if we can keep the guards out on the perimeter.

Uhhhh, they DID have that mindset when they had Steph and ELLIS, who are much more similar than Steph and Klay. Ellis = CJ. Klay =/= CJ.

The winning streak starts Monday!

No way the Blazers can lose with all the positive energy and karma the RipCityTwo Forum members are going to bring to that game.

Our positive energy will lift the Blazers to victory over the Raptors!

Yeah. Feel the love!

Preach the gospel Brother Bailey. There were many in the Bay that were totally against moving either Steph or Monta and at the time, Monta was the better player. But like Dame/CJ, they were both smallish, ball dominant, no-defense guards and the GM made the tough call that changed the course of their franchise.

Your two team leaders CAN NOT both only play on one side of the ball. End of story.

That needs a lot more clapping-hands and dancing emojis.
