OT Blues Brothers Guitarist Matt 'Guitar' Murphy Dead at 88

Matt "Guitar" Murphy, guitarist for the Blues Brothers and noted sideman for blues legends like Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters and Memphis Slim, died Friday at the age of 88.

I got to meet Matt once. I had wanted to get his autograph but couldn't figure out what I wanted him to sign. It was a concert and I didn't want to bring my Blues Brothers album with me so I looked around my apartment at the time and finally grabbed my Monopoly Get of out Jail Free Card. Waited until after the concert and jumped over this huge barrier as he was walking off stage. He cracked up when I showed him what I wanted him to sign. Ended up talking with him for 30 mins backstage. Cool dude.
