Trump said the book is illegal and violates national security. Also everything Bolton said is fiction and never happened.

If it's fiction it could not possibly threaten national security, any more than Manchurian candidate or Game of Thrones.

kona, right now am unsure which short term vacation rentals survive the fallout. i can ask my wife, she used tho clean for a number of them before. the kona side always has the calmest weather here on the leeward side. not a lot of long sandy beaches but awesome snorkeling. again my wife cause was often a regular weekend adventure. if money is of small consequence and a true hawaii style from the movies experience is the goal, then any of the kohala resorts. golf needs to be a priority IMHO to justify the costs. cowboy up in south kona or waimea. october storms may provide westerly swells for surfing in october. marlin are around in october(blue) with a good likely hood to hook up, though big difference between hook and land. plenty rubber hooks marlin fishing any time of year. can PM you a list of "secret" spots if you come. there are tons of caves and waterslide kine if raining and hike in access areas that are likely maybe only couple other people all day. we have 11-12 micro climates and mauna kea above the clouds too.

There is a lot of money in them, but Bolton may not get to see any of it.

While declining to halt the release of the book, Lamberth did suggest that Bolton may have left himself open to potential criminal prosecution by publishing classified information and that the government may be successful in trying to prevent Bolton from keeping proceeds from the book.​

One other thing....I just read the Maui Swim Club what a fantastic book and story about the Maui ditch swimmers! I would say that their accomplishments & coach is right up there for one of the most significant sports accomplishment in the world.

Did you ever see the movie starring Terrence Howard called Pride? It was about m opening up a closed down swimming center in a black neighborhood and getting the black kids to form a swim team and having to overcome racial bias and hatred. It was a good movie.
 
somehow the president is spinning the fact that the DOJ lost their attempt to stop publishing. i don't get it. no rulings were handed down at all other than rejecting the injunction against publishing the book. SMH,SMH

When we were in the Kona coast years ago there was a nasty storm that hit the West side. We had to remain in our condo until the winds died down and a few hours later there were giant ocean swells that crashed into the lanai at the Sheriton. All five of us were able to sit at the lanai lounge watching the roped off lanai get hit by giant wave after giant wave. Even during this in the evening after dark we were able to sit there in wispy thin shirts with no coats. The thing that bothered me was that I was unable to buy a tropical drink in a hollowed out pineapple nor even my second choice, a hollowed out coconut with a tropical drink and some glow in the dark colored straws. Had my loud Hawaiian shirt, cargo shorts, sandals, straw hat and puka shell necklace with a gaudy camera around my neck. The other four were all women and dressed accordingly as appropriate for a woman vacationing in Hawaii.

No rulings handed out so Trump is his usual idiot self there but the judge did warn that Bolten offered up himself to potential indictment and civil suit.
