I don't have anymore doubts that Boone can average a double double after this season, but I'm going to hold off on predicting next season. Boone thrives in the Nets system; there aren't any other rebounders on the team besides Diop (Perhaps a healthy Krstic if he decides to show up), and without a dynamic post scorer (we use Krstic for his midrange game) he gets a lot of put-backs and pick-and-roll layups around the basket. If the team is indeed headed for a shake-up this off-season, then there's a good chance that the style of the team will change, and Boone might not fit as well as he does now. As well as he's done this year, and despite the numbers he's put up, in the latest Dave D article I believe it was Frank or Thorn who described him as a good 6th man, but not a starter.
