<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (NetsDaily)</div><div class='quotemain'>Josh Boone was one of only three Huskies who sat out this weekend’s Jim Calhoun Classic, the UConn coach’s annual charity game. The others had their excuses: 42-year-old Cliff Robinson is retired and Ben Gordon, the Bulls’ free agent, didn’t want to risk injury while negotiating a new contract. Local newspapers did not say why Boone sat it out. There have been no reports of any Boone injury.</div>

Hm, I wonder why he sat out of this...was it because he didn't wanna risk another off-season of injury? This is mildly odd.

Marcus Williams had 18 points adn 16 assists, i smell allstar

Josh_Boone_Fan kidnapped him and told him they had to play Jenga together.

because it was a charity game and they didn't want him to scare the kiddies away.

my guess is that he wants to be injury free for pre season since he believes he has a chance to be a starter. Who knows, maybe he actually working on his free throws. I think its a good move for him to focus on his game and career.

Or maybe he just had a pressing family commitment to attend.

maybe he's still pissed at Calhoun for stating (in a published interview, no less!) that he didn't think Boone was ready to be a pro.

yeah he said he wasn't strong enough mentally if i remember right.

minor elbow injury in big man camp in vegas...nothing serious but he was held out.

all the other bigs, plus CDR, played and did pretty well, says Thorn...and that includes Lopez, Anderson and Williams.
