Boston Globe's Dan Shaughnessy calls Blazers "A Tomato Can"

I hope Greg hits KG in the forehead with his huge ballsack as he's dunking on him!!!!!!
 
There are two big games on ESPN tommorow. Not only are we playing the Celts, but the Jazz are playing. If we can get a win and they can get another loss it would put some more space between us.
 
Watch out, or somebody might hit you in the head with that can of tomato soup!
 
Shaughnessy was the writer who dedicated quite a few columns, after the 2006 baseball season, suggesting that Theo Epstein got lucky with the Red Sox championship in 2004 and that the "honeymoon was over" and Epstein wasn't looking like a particularly successful GM. Then Epstein's Red Sox won another championship in 2007, and were close to another World Series in 2008.

In sum, Shaughnessy doesn't really know what he's talking about. He's basically Boston's equivalent of John Canzano.

I'm actually surprised he said that, though, because he usually roots against Boston teams just to create controversy.

If the Blazers need locker room material for this game . . there is something wrong with the team.

Throwing out the big flop on opening night, this has got to be the Blazers biggest game of the year to date.

by about half way through the article, thats the conclusion I was drawing... that this was their over the top/stir the pot media guy. As stale an act as that is for some of us, nearly every market has at least one of those guys... Boston probably has several competing for the honor.

Even if it's brought to the Blazers attention, I doubt that they'd take it seriously and use it as bulletin board material. It's not like what he says matters... just another douchebag.

To be honest, I don't think they need ANY motivation for this game. I don't think we are even a blip on their radar. I'm sure the guys remember the way KG was acting like a jerkoff towards them last year here. I think they'll be ready.

I'm thinking the same thing . . . I can't say I think the Blazers will win . . . but I expect them to stand up to KG and company and take it to them physically in the game.

We can always make "tomato" type signs when the Celtics come to Portland. It would be funny for one of the camera guys to get that on a broadcast.
