Danny Ainge pulled out miracles for that Celtic team not only to get them into contendership, but to also save his job. Maybe is Thorn was in his position he would have done the same. I still think it is possible for us to beat the Celtics. People are overrating them too much. A Pierce, Allen, and KG trio is arguably the best in the league, but what else do they have? James Posey, Eddie House, and Rajon Rondo. I think it is still a very talented team, but without a true/pure point guard, that team will suffer even if Pierce and KG play the role. But then again, they are 3 hungry stars so I really don't know what to expect from the Celtics.

As for the Nets, I think having Kidd play in the olympics is good for us. He isn't playing many minutes at all and seems really fresh and is playing great on the court. Although I hope he hasn't given up scoring in his game. We will need him to score at times even with all the scorers we have on the team currently.

Unlike everyone else, I think Vince Carter is going to have a better year then he did last year. With his choke job in the playoffs, now he has an even bigger chip on his shoulder and I really think that this time he will prove alot of his critcs wrong. He will still have some games where he will struggle, but with Krstic back and Magloire, it will be easier for him to get down the lane especially if they set some nice picks for him.

Nenad Krstic is going to play for a contract so you could expect him to play much better and with the help of a former all star and a defensive beast, who knows what he is capable of doing this year even with him coming back from an injury.

Richard Jefferson might be the only Net that could struggle this year. He might not want to play with the team that could have traded him on several occasions this year. But with a team like this, it's kinda hard to say no. He won't have as much pressure on him especially since Krstic is back, Magloire signed with the team, Nachbar backing him up, and with a more experienced Marcus Williams.

Overall, I think we are in a much better spot then we were last year, but I don't want to set my hopes up. The east has gotten much stronger over this past off season, but in the end I think we could prevail and prove to people that we are a top 3 team in the eastern conference.

Trust me, he hasn't. Why does he need to score, when you have Melo, Kobe, Lebron, Miller, Dwight, etc on your team. He would rather set up a better shooter, with an easier shot.

And that chip will grow even bigger next season. He choked during a contract season, is that really going to change during a normal season of basketball? We shall see.

Or like you have mentioned before, it could also fire him up. I want to see RJ demand the ball, a little more. We're not using his ablities to the full extent, because we always hand the ball to Vince. It gets old, really.

Boston and New Jersey should be a good rivalry in the Atlantic. They both have opposite strengths to their teams. However, i dont think the lack of a pure point gaurd is going to hurt the celtics too much. All they need to do is get the ball up the floor and get into their half court. The nets arent really a half court team with jason kidd because hes so good at making decisions on the fly. Im not too sure about Maglore being a "defensive beast" but he will be a BIG step up from Mikki Moore.

I think he'll be just fine after a few games, not that long.
