Saw player comments on River Ave videos and per Bump (Tex) "You're bound to lose one every now and again. So bright his mother calls him son. CC going tonight, God forbid, you'd best hope that Oakland is able to pull one over the Jays.

The way the Jays are playing (10 of there last 11) we can't depend on other teams (A's) to do what we need to do. It might be time the rest Ellsbury but who takes the lead off spot if we do?

...Drew? [ducks, then runs for cover]

Last night no one on, Drew hits a bomb, the remainder of the evening with men on he comes up empty handed. DFA the man and bring Refsnyder back up, the team can only gain.

I agree Michael. I mean even if the kid only hits 240 for the rest of the season its an improvement. Its a win-win.

...I'm sure Refsnyder will be a September call up, but he should be playing 2B now....Had enough of Drew.

While I agree on Drew making him the continuous whipping boy when nobody else has done a thing becomes. Yeah he hit a bomb and then came up empty handed. How about 1-5 who is 1 for their last million the last four games?

...there have been multiple whipping boys this year...and the 1-5 hitters have just recently gone South, while Drew has been abysmal for over a year now.

...and as bad as Drew has been, he's been even worse when it really counts;

Close and late ABs; .118 .167 .196 .363

High leverage ABs; .109 .180 .196 .376

Truth but looking at last night's game he did homer. Ellsbury and Gardner for the last month have killed the top of the lineup. In my opinion this has effected everyone down the line.

...granted, it has been a group effort the last few games but Drew has been terrible all year...he should have never been signed in the first place and there are very likely multiple games he has cost the Yanx this year...there were better options before the season began and there were better options at the trade deadline.

One of the rare players that can go 1 for 5 & actually see his average go up.
