Beal, Towns, Porzingas, DeAndre Jordan, and CJ.

C.J. McCollum, SG, Portland Trail Blazers - McCollum won the NBA's Most Improved Player award last season after absolutely blowing up for the Trail Blazers. He went from 6.8 points per game coming off the bench the year before to 20.8 in 2015-16. Now that McCollum has become a bonafide star and half of one of the best backcourts in the league, he's earned All-Star consideration from jump.

Gotta love CJ getting consideration by multiple sources.

Is CJ going to be considered over Dame?

The all star guards out west will be WestBrook,CP3,Harden,Curry,Klay

There just isn't room. I really wish the league would just pick the 12 most fun and exciting and deserving players, NOT front court/backcourt.....

I know. Dame is a 2-time all star and had his best season ever, by far, and didn't make it.

Is it just me or did Porzingas really fall off the 2nd half of the season? He didn't look good in one of the games we saw him... but I feel like I remember him not doing so hot as the season went on.

And wait, Jordan has never been an all-star? wow.

Minny might have more than just Towns worthy of a spot on the team...

Not so sure about Klay. I don't know if he will get the looks or points. IF he makes it, i bet its on name recognition and not stats.

BUT he is number 50 in top 100 players according to SI guys!

It may be up to the voters. GSW might have 3 starters.

You HAD to remind me of how we vote in our all stars didn't you???... man That is the worst part about the NBA to me. Im a big time fan and I will fully admit I have no right voting in All stars. I know some people feel it is something to help the interaction of the fan and be a part of something, but we can figure other things out for that.

I know I'm beating a dead horse... but.. YOU brought it back up. lol.

Durant, Curry, Thompson, Green. It's pretty much already decided. lol.

Well since I cant say F you.....man..

NO way. Klay's numbers go down. Curry has more ankle issues after tweaking it in the forth game of the season. Green gets suspended for half the season and GSW struggles to maintain a playoff spot the bulk of the season.
Don't forget. You heard it here first!

There can be 6 guards. So add Dame to that list. Even so, Dame is better than Klay and Harden. Dame was 2nd time all NBA last year for chrissakes. If Klay's numbers go down (likely), CJ will make it too.

Stop complaining and vote! I said we should organize a voting campaign two years ago and everyone shot it down. It doesn't take many votes in the overall scheme of things to get in as a starter. If we worked together, we could do it.

What a Debbie downer!

Ya but when it comes to fans voting the All Star game is a popularity contest and right now Play is the more popular player.

Agreed. In terms of starters, all 4 will get in.

Fuck, Kobe got in last year and he was complete trash. Legacy or not.

GSW will have 4 in the ASG.

Can't remember or not, but do they consider Khawai Leonard a backcourt or front court player?

And he won't be one this season either.

I just want Dame to get voted to first team and tell them to fuck off because he has a youth charity camp booked that weekend

Dame will get the vote over Harden or Klay this year.

I'd like to see it be justified not having a player from a top 3 team in the west on the all star team. I'm not sure CJ will make it this year, but if the blazers are where I think they can/will be at the AS break then I'd consider dame a lock.

I could also see harden being left out if the rockets are total trash which they likely will be. However it would be interesting to see the rockets doing worse than the Blazers last year, yet harden still finding his way to the ASG unlike what happened with Dame. This is a scenario I'll have my eyes on.

2 of those players will be out with injuries by the Allstar break.

I am not saying CP3 will start to fall off this season but I feel like his numbers will start to fall soon. Been in the league for quite a while. Injuries, etc.

Definitely front court.

Based on current rules, you can have a minimum of 4 guards and a maximum of 6.

This is one time when I agree with Doc Rivers:

"I argued this, and I lost, in the competition committee. I thought after the starters, there shouldn’t be any positions. If seven guards should make the team, seven guards should make the team. They were worried how the game would look, and I said, they’ll figure it out. "
