The text captions are unfortunate, but otherwise it's a nicely done montage. Gottdamn that was an amazing quarter of basketball...

That's hard to watch because he teased us.

For one game he looked like the Brandon Roy of old.

For the rest of the series he was a liability on both ends of the floor.

There's nothing wrong with the captions, it's 100% accurate.

i didnt see any captions, but i cried a lil bit

I didn't see anything in the captions about him having a career-altering knee problem or that he was basically invisible for most of the series.

This one is basically superior in every way.

Ah what could have been if his knees had held up ... sonofabitch that still stings a little.

The captions are fine. Roy was motivated by embarrassment and humiliation. He had been asking for more time, McMillan finally gave it to him, he did nothing with it, he was practically crying from the way people and the media worded their remarks because he still thought of himself as a prideful starter, in the next game McMillan returned to giving him limited minutes, and that's when he exploded with this one quarter when we were about to lose the playoff series.

He may again do it once or twice per season, but it will take extraordinary circumstances like those.

It just makes me sad. You can see he's got the heart and guts to take over a game and win it but his body betrays him. It's frustrating to see how good he could've been but never will be.

Repped. I'll never understand those who whined about Roy while he was healthy.

You can argue about the past, but Roy is gone. What's important now is whether those captions should be there.

So you can argue about something that is already set in stone, but the future that is yet to be written is off-topic?

I say Impossible is nothing, and I'll wait till B-Roy is done in the league before I give my final word on him.

Rep'd.

The same goes for me. My 4'7" 300 lb body is all that is keeping me from winning an NBA championship.

barfo

Hmmmm, if the team struggles with injuries again we may need you to play Power Forward. All we need is 6 hard fouls (no permanent injuries to opposing team players but a little injury is fine - especially in the play offs).

No doubt. Tommy John's doctor gave him a "1 in 100" chance of a complete recovery. Who knows, maybe in 10 years we'll be talking about "Brandon Roy Surgery". There's a lot of money on the line, and we're talking about a guy who was top 5-10 in the league before his meniscus blew up. Likely? Of course not, but not impossible.

Soooooo... you like the text captions?

It's fine with me if Roy tries some new procedure and IMO given what I saw last yr it would be no risk and all reward. He's not worth keeping at his salary and ability if we can get rid of him with an amnesty clause we do it. So if there is somethin "new" out there I say go for it, but then again that's from a selfish fan's perspective. I put odds at 1 in 100 or probably worse.
