Brandon Williams is Unbelievable

Eventually the hot shooting is gonna level out, so stuff like this is what’s really impressive. His size will limit his upside, he looks like he’s gonna be limited to guarding one position, but he looks like he can be a solid backup point guard. He’s also got the perfect coach for his development. Nice signing.

Great points

Seems like a smaller but slightly quicker CJ McCollum. The defense is on their heels.

Saw someone mention Kyrie, and the way he creates space is similar, which is insane for an undrafted rookie. Dunno about the shot, it’s too early, but he looks like a legit scoring guard. Seems he can get to his spots easily

Haha so now Brandon Williams is Kyrie and McCollum like.

Portland fans always rushing to judgement. Armon Johnson is the next Greg Anthony

I just know you compared A_am Morrison to Larry Bird at some point in one of those asinine Draft the Stache threads

And perhaps he learned from his mistake?

Is he under contract next year? Seems like Dame/Williams, Ant/Hart would be nice next season?

Might have to hit the bench soon tbh.

Am I reading this right? This two way rookie shot 16 free throws??

He averaged 4 per game in the g league. Seems he’s got an ability to draw fouls.

Have not seen him play a whole lot yet, but I really like his game. Excellent handles, nice perimeter touch, and can score off the dribble.
Plays with impressive confidence, despite a lack of experience in college.
Needs to make sure that knee stays strengthened and healthy.

I could see Brandon play a Patty Mills type instant offense role off the bench.

Don’t even care about the less than ideal FG%, this kid is a problem. He gets to wherever he wants. Doing a better job of protecting the ball too, hasn’t had more than two turnovers in his last four games. The free throw percentage going into this game was a fluke too, guy was an 85% shooter in the g league, so it’s nice to see it turn.

The big problem is going to be if the kid ruins our lotto pick while playing himself onto another team.

I'm all for giving kids like this a chance, but these wins are already meaningless, they can become actual negatives if the development on these kids ends up helping other teams...

he’s under contract next season, so I don’t see how it applies here

Must've missed that, I thought we were still stringing him along on 10-days, that makes me feel slightly better about yesterday's meaningless win...

yeah I actually wonder if they would try and lock him up to a value deal like they did Watford. He's clearly good enough to play in the NBA. Either way, we dont have to worry about losing him just yet lol
